LG INR18650-MJ1 is a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a high capacity of 3400mAh, a nominal voltage of 3.6V and a maximum continuous discharge current of 10A.
This flat-top battery has no built-in protection circuit and is suitable for use in compatible devices and battery packs.
INR18650-MJ1 – high-capacity 18650 battery for RadioMaster transmitters
INR18650-MJ1 is a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery manufactured by LG Energy Solution, designed primarily for powering RadioMaster radio transmitters. Its typical capacity of 3400mAh allows longer operating times on a single charge and reduces the need for frequent charging or battery replacement. It is a practical choice for everyday FPV flying, training sessions, simulator use and longer days at the flying field.
This battery is suitable for RadioMaster transmitters designed to use replaceable 18650 Li-ion cells. Compatible models include RadioMaster TX16S, Boxer, TX12, Pocket and MT12. Before purchasing, check battery-compartment dimensions and instructions for your specific transmitter, as different RadioMaster models may use batteries of different sizes, quantities or connection types.
3400mAh capacity for longer operating times
INR18650-MJ1 has a typical capacity of 3500mAh and a minimum capacity of 3400mAh. Compared with lower-capacity 18650 batteries, its larger energy reserve helps extend RadioMaster transmitter operating time. This is especially useful when using a colour display, backlighting, audio alerts or an external transmitter module.
Each cell has a nominal voltage of approximately 3.6V and an energy capacity of around 12.7Wh. RadioMaster transmitters commonly use two 18650 cells, although the exact configuration depends on model. Two INR18650-MJ1 cells connected in series provide a nominal voltage of approximately 7.2V, while capacity remains 3500mAh. Always use two batteries of the same type, capacity, approximate age and charge level in a transmitter.
Suitable for the moderate power consumption of RadioMaster transmitters
INR18650-MJ1 supports a maximum continuous discharge current of 10A. Compared with powerful motors and other high-current devices, a RadioMaster transmitter has moderate power requirements, making this battery’s high capacity well suited to applications where long operating time is important. Its 10A discharge capability provides ample current reserve during active transmitter use.
Maximum charging voltage is 4.2V. Standard charging current is 1700mA, while maximum permitted charging current is 3400mA. If a RadioMaster transmitter supports USB charging of installed 18650 cells, batteries can be charged directly inside the transmitter according to its user manual. Alternatively, use a quality 18650 Li-ion battery charger with a correct CC/CV charging mode.
Standard flat-top 18650 design
INR18650-MJ1 is a flat-top battery with a flat positive terminal. Cell diameter is approximately 18.2mm, height 65mm and weight around 47g. These dimensions correspond to an unprotected 18650 cell and allow it to be installed in a RadioMaster transmitter equipped with a compatible battery compartment.
This battery has no built-in protection circuit. INR18650-MJ1 should therefore only be used in devices designed for unprotected 18650 Li-ion cells. When installing batteries, carefully follow positive and negative polarity markings inside the transmitter’s battery compartment. Incorrect installation may damage batteries or transmitter.
Safe use and charging
For best reliability, use two new and identical INR18650-MJ1 batteries in a RadioMaster transmitter. Do not combine old and new cells, batteries with different capacities or cells from different manufacturers in the same transmitter. If one battery in a pair needs replacing, replacing both cells at the same time is recommended.
Do not use a battery if its insulating wrap is damaged, casing is deformed or terminals show signs of corrosion. INR18650-MJ1 cells must not be short-circuited, opened, punctured, crushed or exposed to excessive heat. Loose batteries should be transported in a dedicated protective case, never in a pocket or bag together with keys, coins or other metal objects.
INR18650-MJ1 is a suitable choice for RadioMaster transmitters powered by 18650 cells, combining high 3500mAh capacity, long operating time and reliable Li-ion cell performance from a well-known manufacturer.
