Gemfan Hurricane 3520-3 PC Durable 1.5mm&M5 is a three-blade polycarbonate propeller suitable for freestyle flying and practising control techniques with small FPV drones. Its 89.5 mm diameter, 2-inch pitch and lightweight construction support smooth flight and precise thrust control.

89.5 mm Diameter and 2-Inch Pitch

Gemfan Hurricane 3520-3 has a diameter of 89.5 mm and belongs to the 3.5-inch propeller class. When choosing a frame, use the actual diameter and check that sufficient clearance remains between the blades and any frame parts, wiring or other components.

The propeller has a pitch of 2 inches. Pitch describes theoretical forward travel during one complete rotation and, together with blade shape and rotational speed, influences propeller load and flight feel. Actual thrust, current draw and response depend on the entire power system, including motors, battery and drone weight.

Three-Blade Design for Freestyle Flying

A three-blade design suits flights that require control during both direction changes and acceleration. Gemfan Hurricane 3520-3 is designed as a lightweight freestyle propeller with smooth flight characteristics.

The propeller’s hub thickness is 5.5 mm. This dimension must be considered when mounting it to a motor to ensure sufficient fastener engagement and secure attachment.

Durable material is practical for everyday training, but blades and hub should be inspected after a collision. A bent or cracked propeller can cause vibration and affect flight feel.

1.5 mm T-Mount and M5 Mounting

The 1.5mm&M5 version supports both 1.5 mm T-mount and M5 mounting, using an adapter arrangement appropriate for the connection. This makes it suitable for builds with different motor mounting systems.

For T-mount installation, check compatibility of the centre hole, mounting screw spacing and screw length. With M5 mounting, the propeller must fit the motor shaft and be properly secured with a nut. Any adapter must sit firmly in place to keep the propeller correctly centred on the shaft.

Before purchasing, check the motor’s recommended propeller size and permissible load as well as shaft dimensions. Matching mounting dimensions alone does not mean every motor is suitable for the same propeller.
