DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit – Adjustable Extension Rod for Creative Shots

DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit (Dual-Direction Quick-Release) is a compact extension rod kit designed for Osmo Action 6 and Osmo Nano cameras. It enables users to capture selfies, vlogs, group photos and footage from wider or higher angles than usual. Extension rod can be adjusted from approximately 0.3 to 1.5 metres, making it suitable for handheld filming and situations where the camera needs to be positioned farther away.

Included dual-direction quick-release adapter allows the camera to be attached to the extension rod quickly and securely. Compact collapsed design makes the rod easy to carry, while its comfortable grip suits travel, vlogging, sports and everyday content creation.

Adjustable Length from 0.3 to 1.5 Metres

DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit allows rod length to be adapted to each shooting situation. A length of approximately 0.3 metres is suitable for close-up selfies, standard handheld footage and vlogs. Fully extended, the rod reaches 1.5 metres, enabling wider views, larger group shots and footage from higher or more distant perspectives.

A longer rod positions the camera farther away from the user, helping include more of the surrounding environment in each shot. This is practical for travel, hiking, events and outdoor activities where both the subject and surroundings are important.

Filming from a higher angle is ideal for capturing crowded locations, groups, sporting activities and various events. When held lower, the extension rod can create dynamic tracking shots and position the camera closer to the ground, water or another subject of interest.

Dual-Direction Quick-Release Mount

DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit includes an Osmo Dual-Direction Quick-Release Adapter Mount for fast camera installation and removal. Quick-release design eliminates the need to unscrew the camera after every shot, making it easier to switch between shooting positions and configurations.

Dual-direction design provides greater flexibility when positioning the camera and supports quick changes between different shooting angles. Secure connection keeps the camera stable on the extension rod, while a locking screw firmly attaches the adapter to the rod.

Quick-release mounting is particularly useful when filming on the move, travelling or capturing sports, where the camera needs to be ready without delay. This allows users to focus more on composing shots and less on installing accessories.

Ideal for Selfies, Vlogs and Creative Angles

DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit gives content creators greater freedom to adjust camera position and perspective. At full length, the rod is ideal for selfies and group shots with a wider background. When shortened, it works as a comfortable grip for everyday vlogging and filming while moving.

Extension rod can also be used to capture elevated views, low tracking shots and dynamic footage that emphasises camera movement. It is suitable for travel, hiking, walks, recreational activities, sports and social media content.

Combining electronic stabilisation of Osmo Action 6 or Osmo Nano with the extension rod helps create smooth moving footage even when the camera is held farther away. For best results, use smooth movements and maintain a secure grip when the rod is fully extended.

Compact and Lightweight Design

When collapsed, DJI Osmo extension rod measures approximately 227 mm in length and 26.6 mm in diameter. These dimensions make it compact enough to store in a backpack, camera bag or other equipment case. Extension rod weighs approximately 160 g, providing a good balance between portability and comfortable handling.

Dual-direction quick-release adapter measures 44.4 × 18.2 × 29 mm and weighs approximately 16 g. Included Osmo locking screw measures 55.6 × 23 × 13.3 mm and weighs approximately 11.2 g. Together, these components form a compact kit that is easy to carry while travelling or during everyday shoots.

Nominal maximum length of the extension rod is 1.5 metres. Manufacturer specifies a length tolerance of ±5%, corresponding to a possible deviation of approximately 7.5 cm.

1/4-Inch Thread for Additional Accessories

A standard 1/4-inch threaded hole is located at the bottom of DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit. It allows various compatible photo and video accessories to be connected, expanding possible uses of the kit.

A compatible tripod, support or another accessory with a 1/4-inch mount can be attached to the thread. This allows the extension rod to function as part of a larger filming setup in addition to handheld use. When attaching an accessory, always ensure its load capacity and stability are suitable for the combined weight of the camera and fully extended rod.

Standard thread makes the kit a flexible solution for content creators who want to adapt their camera equipment to different shooting situations.

Compatibility with Osmo Action 6 and Osmo Nano

DJI Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod Kit (Dual-Direction Quick-Release) is compatible with Osmo Action 6 and Osmo Nano cameras. Included dual-direction quick-release adapter allows either device to be attached to the extension rod without purchasing an additional adapter.

Mounting system designed specifically for Osmo cameras provides a precise fit and convenient operation. Before filming, ensure that adapter, camera and locking screw are properly secured. This is especially important when the rod is fully extended or used while moving.
