SmallRig 6658 Split Filter Kit – Versatile Filter Kit for DJI Osmo Pocket 4P
SmallRig 6658 Split Filter Kit is a modular filter system designed specifically for DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. It helps control exposure, reduce unwanted reflections, and give videos a softer, more cinematic look. Kit includes ND16, ND64, and ND256 filters, a CPL polarizing filter, a 1/4 Black Diffusion filter, a dedicated filter base, and a cleaning cloth. Versatile filter selection is suitable for capturing travel videos, vlogs, landscapes, cityscapes, bodies of water, portraits, and night scenes in various lighting conditions.
A key feature of this kit is its flexible Split Filter system, which supports simultaneous use of up to two filters. This allows different optical effects to be combined, such as reducing light reaching the sensor with an ND filter while adding a softer, more cinematic character with a Black Diffusion filter. CPL filter can be paired with a fixed ND or Black Diffusion filter to reduce reflections while also adjusting exposure or changing the overall visual appearance of footage.
ND16, ND64, and ND256 Filters for Different Lighting Conditions
SmallRig 6658 Split Filter Kit includes three fixed-strength ND filters that give videographers more precise control over shutter speed and exposure. ND16 reduces light reaching the camera sensor by 4 stops, ND64 provides 6 stops of light reduction, and ND256 reduces light by 8 stops. Different strengths make it possible to select a suitable filter for conditions ranging from moderate daylight to extremely bright sunshine.
An ND filter helps prevent overexposure and allows slower shutter speeds to be used in bright light. When shooting video, a correctly selected shutter speed makes movement appear smoother and more natural while creating cinematic motion blur. This is useful when filming while walking or capturing moving vehicles, sports, street scenes, and other dynamic situations.
Stronger ND64 and ND256 filters also provide greater creative freedom when filming flowing water, moving clouds, or time-lapse sequences. Longer exposure times can give water a visually silky appearance and emphasize movement in situations where a standard shutter speed would produce an overly bright image.
CPL Filter for Reducing Reflections
CPL, or circular polarizing filter, helps reduce unwanted reflections from water, glass, and painted non-metallic surfaces. This makes it especially useful when filming bodies of water, display cases, windows, vehicles, and glossy surfaces. Reducing reflections allows underwater subjects or details behind glass to be captured more clearly.
CPL filter can also improve color saturation and image contrast. Skies may appear deeper blue, vegetation more vibrant, and wet surfaces more detailed. Its effect depends on direction of light and camera position, allowing results to be adjusted according to each scene.
1/4 Black Diffusion Filter for a More Cinematic Look
Included 1/4 Black Diffusion filter softens bright light sources and reduces harsh contrast while preserving overall image detail. It creates a subtle glow around light sources and gives digital footage a softer, more cinematic appearance.
Black Diffusion filter is well suited to portraits, vlogs, night-time cityscapes, and atmospheric scenes. In portraits, it helps soften skin tones and reduce visibility of minor imperfections without removing too much facial detail. In night scenes, it creates a restrained glow around streetlights, illuminated signs, and other light sources, giving footage a more atmospheric character.
Option to Combine Two Filters
Split Filter system allows up to two filters to be attached to its dedicated filter base at once. This makes it possible to combine different effects and adapt results to current shooting conditions. For example, an ND filter can be paired with the 1/4 Black Diffusion filter to control exposure in bright light while adding a softer, more cinematic appearance. CPL filter can be combined with a fixed ND or Black Diffusion filter to reduce reflections while applying another desired effect.
Installation instructions must be followed when using two filters to protect the camera gimbal. Only one filter may be attached to the filter base while DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is being switched on or off. A second filter can be added after the camera has powered on and must be removed before switching it off. No more than two filters should be installed at any time.
Optical Glass and Multi-Layer Coatings
Filters are made from high-quality optical glass that helps preserve image sharpness, contrast, and natural color reproduction. Multi-layer coatings reduce uneven scattering of different light wavelengths, limit unwanted internal reflections and glare, and help keep color shift to a minimum. Durable aluminum alloy frames provide precise shaping and reliable strength without adding excessive weight to the camera.
Included filter base measures approximately 45 × 30.2 × 3.6 mm. ND and Black Diffusion filters measure around 44.1 × 19.3 × 1.9 mm, while CPL filter measures 43.6 × 29.2 × 2.5 mm. Product weight is 105.6 ± 5 g. Included cleaning cloth helps remove dust, fingerprints, and other minor marks from optical glass surfaces.
Designed Specifically for DJI Osmo Pocket 4P
To use SmallRig 6658 Split Filter Kit, first switch off the camera and remove its original filter. Attach included filter base in the correct orientation, then install the desired filter onto the base. Construction tailored specifically to DJI Osmo Pocket 4P dimensions allows filters to be installed and replaced quickly.
SmallRig 6658 Split Filter Kit is suitable for content creators, vloggers, travelers, and videographers who want to cover a wide range of lighting conditions and creative shooting styles with one compact kit. Three ND filters with different strengths, a reflection-reducing CPL filter, a 1/4 Black Diffusion filter for cinematic softness, and support for combining two filters give DJI Osmo Pocket 4P users flexible control over exposure and overall visual character.
