EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo – Smart Home Energy and Backup Power System

EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo is a smart home energy management system designed to integrate EcoFlow DELTA Pro portable power stations directly into a home’s electrical system. The solution provides automatic backup power during grid outages, enables monitoring and control of essential household circuits, and helps users manage stored energy more efficiently during periods of higher electricity prices or increased consumption.

The Smart Home Panel acts as a connection point between the household electrical grid and the EcoFlow DELTA Pro ecosystem. The system can accommodate up to two DELTA Pro units and manage up to ten household circuits. During a power outage, Smart Home Panel can automatically switch connected circuits to battery backup, reducing the need to manually reconnect cables or connect individual appliances directly to portable power stations.

EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo is ideal for users who want to make DELTA Pro an integrated part of their home electrical system while gaining greater visibility and control over household energy consumption. Through the EcoFlow app, users can monitor energy flows, set circuit priorities, schedule charging and discharging, and manage energy usage according to household requirements.

Integrating EcoFlow DELTA Pro with Your Home Electrical System

The primary purpose of Smart Home Panel is to connect DELTA Pro energy storage systems to selected household electrical circuits. With a conventional portable power station, appliances typically need to be connected directly to the unit’s outputs. Smart Home Panel allows stored DELTA Pro energy to be distributed through the home’s existing electrical circuits.

This means that lighting, refrigerators, routers, home-office equipment, or other selected circuits can remain connected to backup power without requiring appliances to be manually reconnected during an outage.

The system can manage up to 10 individual circuits, allowing the user and installer to determine which areas and appliances are most important to keep operating during a power failure.

Automatic Backup Power During Grid Outages

One of the most important functions of EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo is automatic switching to backup power.

When the grid fails and the system is operating with DELTA Pro energy storage, Emergency Power Supply or EPS mode can switch connected circuits to battery power extremely quickly. EcoFlow specifies a switching time of approximately 20 milliseconds.

Such a fast transition means that the interruption may be practically unnoticeable for many connected devices. This can be particularly useful for routers, computer equipment, lighting, and other electrical devices that are important to keep operating at home.

However, Smart Home Panel should not automatically be considered a conventional UPS for every type of sensitive electronic equipment, as the behavior of individual devices also depends on their own power electronics.

Intelligent Control of up to 10 Household Circuits

EcoFlow Smart Home Panel can connect and manage up to ten household circuits.

This gives users control over which areas of the home or groups of appliances are included in the backup power system. For example, separate circuits may cover the refrigerator and kitchen appliances, internet and communication equipment, a home office, lighting, or other essential loads.

Connected circuits can be named and prioritized through the EcoFlow app, while their energy consumption can also be monitored. This makes it easier to use available battery capacity strategically during an outage.

When stored energy is limited, the most important circuits can be prioritized while less critical loads can be reduced or temporarily avoided.

Up to 7200 W of Backup Power with Two DELTA Pro Units

Smart Home Panel performance depends on the number of DELTA Pro power stations connected to the system.

With one DELTA Pro, backup output can reach up to 3600 W. When two DELTA Pro units are connected, maximum backup output increases to as much as 7200 W.

This allows the system to power not only smaller electronics but also significantly more demanding household appliances, provided the total connected load remains within the permitted system limits.

Higher output capacity also provides greater flexibility when choosing which household circuits to include in the backup system. Both the rated power and startup surge requirements of connected appliances should always be considered when designing the system.

Modular and Expandable Energy Storage

EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo is part of the modular DELTA Pro energy ecosystem.

A system can begin with one DELTA Pro and later be expanded with an additional DELTA Pro, extra batteries, and other compatible EcoFlow energy products.

EcoFlow’s European Smart Home Panel technical information specifies a maximum connected battery capacity of up to 21.6 kWh in the corresponding DELTA Pro configuration. Other EcoFlow materials may describe larger ecosystem capacities involving additional components and different configurations, so the final capacity depends on the exact hardware being used.

This modular approach allows users to begin with a smaller backup solution and increase their energy reserve later as household requirements grow.

Fast DELTA Pro Charging via Smart Home Panel

Smart Home Panel is not only designed to distribute stored energy. It can also provide fast home charging for DELTA Pro.

According to EcoFlow’s European technical information, Smart Home Panel can charge each DELTA Pro at up to 3400 W.

When two DELTA Pro units are installed, the system supports charging both units, helping a larger home energy storage configuration return to operational capacity significantly faster than charging from a low-power conventional outlet.

Charging power can also be adjusted through the EcoFlow app according to the system configuration and the user’s requirements.

Solar Power as Part of the Home Backup System

EcoFlow Smart Home Panel and the DELTA Pro ecosystem can be combined with solar panels.

A single DELTA Pro supports up to 1600 W of solar input, while a dual DELTA Pro configuration can provide a total solar input of up to 3200 W when each unit is connected to an appropriate separate solar array.

This means that during a prolonged grid outage, the available energy reserve does not necessarily depend solely on electricity stored in advance. Compatible EcoFlow solar panels can recharge the DELTA Pro system during daylight hours.

Such a configuration can be particularly useful during extended outages or for users seeking to reduce their dependence on grid electricity.

Smart Energy Management Through the EcoFlow App

EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo offers significantly more functionality through the EcoFlow app than a conventional automatic transfer switch.

Users can monitor real-time energy flows, view the consumption of connected household circuits, and check DELTA Pro battery levels.

The app can also be used to determine which circuits have priority, schedule energy usage and charging, and configure a minimum battery charge level.

This allows part of the stored battery capacity to be reserved for an unexpected outage instead of consuming all available energy during normal daily operation.

Circuit Prioritization

During an outage, prioritizing electrical loads is important for extending battery runtime.

EcoFlow Smart Home Panel allows connected circuits to be assigned different priorities, helping essential appliances remain operational when stored energy needs to be conserved.

For example, a refrigerator and internet connection may receive higher priority than a high-consumption appliance whose operation can be postponed until grid power returns.

Circuit-level management makes backup power significantly more efficient than a system in which the entire household load is treated as one uncontrolled demand.

Real-Time Energy Consumption Monitoring

Smart Home Panel provides information about the energy consumption of connected circuits.

Through the EcoFlow app, users can see how much energy different circuits are consuming. This can help identify energy-intensive areas of the home and support more informed energy management.

Long-term consumption monitoring can also be valuable when planning backup capacity. Knowing approximately how much electricity the refrigerator, home office, lighting, or another important circuit consumes makes it easier to estimate how long the available DELTA Pro battery capacity can support the household during an outage.

Potential to Reduce Electricity Use During Peak-Price Periods

EcoFlow Smart Home Panel can also use stored battery energy while the electrical grid is operating normally.

Where electricity tariffs vary according to time of day, DELTA Pro can be charged during lower-cost periods and stored energy can be used during more expensive peak periods.

This type of energy scheduling does not automatically guarantee a specific financial saving because the result depends on local electricity prices, grid charges, battery usage strategy, and the overall system investment.

Functionally, however, EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo gives users greater control over when energy is stored from the grid and when stored battery energy is used in the home.

Integration with Existing Solar Energy Systems

According to EcoFlow, Smart Home Panel and DELTA Pro can work alongside an existing AC-coupled solar energy system while grid power is available.

Charging possibilities during a grid outage depend on the design of the complete system. EcoFlow portable solar panels can be connected directly to DELTA Pro’s solar input, enabling battery charging even when grid power is unavailable.

Smart Home Panel can therefore form part of a hybrid home energy system in which grid electricity, battery storage, and solar power complement one another.

European Version for 240 V / 50 Hz Electrical Systems

The European EcoFlow Smart Home Panel operates at 240 V and 50 Hz.

The European model uses 13 A and 16 A relay modules, which are selected according to the electrical requirements of the connected circuit and the installation design.

EcoFlow’s European Smart Home Panel Combo has been offered with one Smart Home Panel, multiple 13 A relay modules, and 16 A relay modules. The exact package contents may vary depending on the specific product version and retailer, so the included components should always be checked before purchase.

Wall-Mounted Design

The European EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo measures approximately 460 × 330 × 120 mm and weighs around 9 kg.

The panel is installed on a wall near the home’s existing electrical distribution board and connected to selected circuits.

Because Smart Home Panel is permanently integrated into the household electrical system, it is not a conventional DIY accessory. Its location, wiring, relay modules, and protective devices must be selected according to the electrical installation of the specific building.

Professional Installation Required

EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo must be installed by a qualified electrician.

EcoFlow specifies that Smart Home Panel requires professional installation, and installation costs are generally not included in the purchase price of the hardware.

Professional installation is important for both safety and correct system operation. Smart Home Panel is connected to the household electrical system and can receive energy from multiple sources, including the utility grid and one or two DELTA Pro units.

The installer must select suitable circuits, relay modules, and protective components while ensuring that the complete installation complies with applicable local electrical requirements.

Integrated Safety Functions

EcoFlow has incorporated several system-status and safety-related features into Smart Home Panel.

The panel monitors the operating state of the electrical system, while status information can be viewed through both the panel indicators and the EcoFlow app.

EcoFlow also describes an intelligent locking function designed to help prevent the panel door from being opened while the system is energized and to provide notifications in the event of unusual access.

Because Smart Home Panel can receive power from both the electrical grid and connected battery systems, EcoFlow’s official shutdown and safety procedures must always be followed during installation and maintenance.

Practical Solution for Power Outages

In homes where grid outages can cause significant inconvenience or interrupt essential activities, EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo makes the DELTA Pro system considerably more automated.

Without Smart Home Panel, DELTA Pro can still power appliances during an outage, but those appliances generally need to be connected directly to the power station or through another suitable transfer solution.

Smart Home Panel enables selected household circuits to receive battery power automatically.

This means a refrigerator can continue operating, the home internet connection can remain active, and essential lighting can stay available without the user first having to reconnect extension cords or power cables.

Suitable for Home Offices and Remote Work

Power outages can be particularly disruptive in a home office where work depends on an internet connection, computer equipment, and other electrical devices.

EcoFlow – Smart Home Panel Combo allows the home-office circuit to be configured as one of the priority areas covered by backup power.

If grid power fails, the DELTA Pro system can continue supplying the connected circuit, while the EcoFlow app allows the user to monitor battery capacity and circuit consumption.

This makes it easier to decide which devices should remain in use during the outage and which high-consumption loads should be temporarily switched off.
