Nanlite – Forza 60C – Compact RGBLAC LED Spotlight for Professional Photo and Video Production
Nanlite – Forza 60C is a compact, highly color-accurate full-color LED spotlight designed for professional photography and video production. It combines an exceptionally wide color temperature range, an advanced RGBLAC light engine, powerful output, and versatile control and light-modification options. Forza 60C is designed for photographers, videographers, content creators, and production teams who need a compact fixture capable of producing both high-quality white light and precisely controlled colors.
The color temperature can be adjusted across an exceptionally wide 1800–20,000 K range, from extremely warm candlelight-like tones to very cool blue light. Green-to-magenta adjustment of ±100 G/M makes it possible to precisely match the Forza 60C with other fixtures or existing ambient lighting.
Instead of a conventional RGBWW system, Nanlite Forza 60C uses an advanced RGBLAC light engine combining red, green, blue, lime, amber, and cyan LEDs. This six-color system provides richer and more accurate color reproduction as well as greater flexibility for both creative lighting and neutral white-light applications.
RGBLAC Technology for Precise Color Control
One of the defining features of Nanlite – Forza 60C is its RGBLAC LED technology.
In addition to traditional red, green, and blue, RGBLAC adds lime, amber, and cyan. These additional colors help the fixture reproduce a broader and smoother range of tones than simpler RGB systems.
In practical production, this means Forza 60C can generate a wide variety of colors without conventional color gels. On a film set, it can quickly change the mood of a scene; in product photography, it can add colorful accents to a background; and in portrait work, it can be precisely matched to existing ambient light.
RGBLAC is particularly valuable when accurate and nuanced color control is required rather than simply saturated red, green, or blue light.
Exceptionally Wide 1800–20,000 K CCT Range
The white-light color temperature of Nanlite Forza 60C can be adjusted from 1800 K to 20,000 K.
At around 1800 K, the light is extremely warm and can resemble candlelight, firelight, or a very warm tungsten source. This is useful for creating intimate and atmospheric scenes.
At 3200 K, Forza 60C can be matched with traditional tungsten lighting, while around 5600 K it can be balanced with daylight.
At the upper end of the range, up to 20,000 K, the fixture can produce an extremely cool blue appearance suitable for creative effects, moonlight simulations, and stylized scenes.
Such a wide range allows one compact fixture to cover applications that might otherwise require separate tungsten, daylight, and RGB lights.
±100 G/M Adjustment for Matching Other Lights
In addition to color temperature, Nanlite – Forza 60C provides green-to-magenta adjustment across a ±100 G/M range.
This is particularly valuable in professional productions where fixtures from different manufacturers may not produce exactly the same color even when set to an identical CCT.
For example, one LED source may have a slight green cast while another leans toward magenta. G/M adjustment makes it possible to match Forza 60C more precisely with the rest of the lighting setup.
The feature is also useful when matching LED lighting with existing fluorescent, LED, or other artificial sources at a location.
High Color Accuracy for Professional Work
Professional lighting is not only about brightness but also about reliable color reproduction.
Nanlite – Forza 60C provides an average CRI of 96 and TLCI of 95, supporting accurate color reproduction in both photography and video.
High color accuracy helps skin tones, clothing, products, and other color-sensitive subjects appear natural on camera. This is especially important for portrait, fashion, beauty, and product photography, where an inaccurate light spectrum can cause unwanted color shifts.
Forza 60C also offers average TM-30 Rf 93 and Rg 100 ratings, indicating strong color fidelity and balanced saturation.
Its SSI ratings are approximately 81 at 3200 K and 71 at 5600 K.
88 W Rated Power in a Compact Body
Nanlite Forza 60C has a rated power consumption of 88 W.
This allows the compact fixture to deliver substantial output while remaining small enough for mobile production kits.
The fixture measures approximately 22.4 × 11 × 8.8 cm and weighs around 1.08 kg.
This combination makes Forza 60C attractive for creators who need a powerful, feature-rich fixture without carrying a large and heavy COB light.
Its compact design is suitable for studios, small sets, travel, and location productions.
Strong Output with the Included Reflector
Forza 60C delivers impressive output for its compact dimensions.
According to Nanlite’s photometric data, at 2700 K the fixture produces approximately 5,656 lux at 1 meter without a reflector. With the included reflector, output increases to approximately 12,470 lux at 1 meter.
At two meters, the corresponding figures are approximately 1,402 lux without the reflector and 2,839 lux with it.
This demonstrates how significantly a suitable modifier can change the capabilities of a compact COB fixture.
With the reflector, Forza 60C can be used as a stronger key light, directional accent light, or as a light source positioned farther away from the subject.
FM Mount Light Modifier System
Nanlite – Forza 60C uses Nanlite’s compact FM Mount.
The FM Mount provides compatibility with suitable Forza-series modifiers, including reflectors, Fresnel attachments, projection accessories, and other compatible light-shaping tools.
A key advantage of this compact mounting system is that the modifiers can remain smaller and lighter than full-size Bowens Mount accessories.
This is particularly useful for creators who prioritize mobility and want to build a lightweight photo or video lighting kit.
Bowens Mount Adapter Included
Forza 60C also includes a Bowens Mount adapter.
This significantly expands the range of compatible modifiers because Bowens is one of the most widely used light-modifier mounting standards.
With the adapter, Forza 60C can be used with many softboxes, reflectors, beauty dishes, and other Bowens Mount accessories.
This allows users to benefit from both Nanlite’s lightweight FM Mount ecosystem and larger Bowens accessories they may already own.
As a result, Nanlite – Forza 60C can be easily integrated into an existing studio or production lighting setup.
Softbox Compatibility for Soft Key Lighting
One of the advantages of a COB fixture is the ability to dramatically change the character of the light with modifiers.
When a suitable softbox is mounted on Forza 60C, the compact point source becomes a larger, softer light source.
This works particularly well for portraits, interviews, product photography, and other applications where smoother transitions between highlights and shadows are desired.
The Bowens adapter provides access to a broad selection of softbox sizes and shapes, while the FM Mount ecosystem offers more compact Nanlite options.
Fresnel for Greater Beam Control
Forza 60C is also compatible with suitable Nanlite Fresnel accessories.
A Fresnel makes it possible to focus or widen the beam and produce significantly stronger directional illumination.
According to Nanlite’s photometric measurements, with the compatible FL-11 Fresnel in its spot position, output at 2700 K and one meter can reach approximately 35,260 lux.
This is a substantial amount of light for such a compact fixture.
A Fresnel can be useful for creating strong accent lighting, simulated sunlight, or a more concentrated beam from a greater distance.
Precise Light Shaping with a Projection Attachment
Nanlite Forza 60C can also be paired with a compatible projection attachment.
A projection attachment enables sharp-edged beams, precise shaping of the illuminated area, and the use of gobos for projecting patterns.
According to Nanlite’s measurements, a 19° projection attachment can produce approximately 40,690 lux at one meter and 2700 K.
This transforms the compact Forza 60C into a precise light-shaping tool.
It can be used to illuminate a specific object, project window or foliage patterns onto a background, or create tightly controlled pools of light for cinematic scenes.
Full-Color HSI Control
The RGBLAC light engine enables Forza 60C to function as a full-color HSI fixture.
In HSI mode, users can control Hue, Saturation, and Intensity.
Hue allows selection across the color wheel, saturation determines how vivid the selected color appears, and intensity controls its brightness.
This is ideal for creative background, accent, and effect lighting.
A background can, for example, be changed from blue to red or green within seconds without replacing gels or filters.
Individual RGBLAC Channel Control
For more advanced production workflows, individual channels of the Forza 60C light engine can also be controlled separately.
RGBACL control provides access to the red, green, blue, amber, cyan, and lime channels.
This is valuable when a very specific color mixture is required or when the fixture needs to be integrated into a more complex production color workflow.
In DMX environments, this also enables precise integration of Forza 60C into larger studio or set lighting systems.
0–100% Dimming
Nanlite – Forza 60C provides 0–100% dimming.
This allows the output to be precisely balanced against ambient light or other fixtures on set.
For portrait photography, Forza 60C can serve as subtle fill light, while in another setup it can operate at full power as a stronger key light.
Electronic dimming means that reducing brightness does not necessarily require moving the fixture farther from the subject or adding external neutral-density gels.
Built-In Lighting Effects
Forza 60C includes numerous programmed lighting effects.
These include Hue Loop, CCT Loop, INT Loop, Flash, Pulse, Storm, Police Car, TV, Paparazzi, Candle/Fire, Disco, Bad Bulb, Firework, Explosion, and Welding.
The effects make it possible to simulate different dynamic lighting situations directly on set.
Candle/Fire can imitate the irregular glow of flames, Police Car can generate flashing red and blue illumination, and TV can reproduce changing light from a screen.
These effects can be particularly useful in filmmaking, music videos, commercials, and creative social-media content.
Integrated Display and Direct Controls
A smartphone or external controller is not required to operate Nanlite – Forza 60C.
Controls and a display on the fixture allow users to adjust color temperature, intensity, colors, effects, and other important parameters directly.
This is useful in fast-paced production environments where immediate access to settings saves time.
Basic adjustments can be made directly on the light, while wireless or DMX control can be used for more complex productions.
Bluetooth and NANLINK App Control
Forza 60C features Bluetooth connectivity and can be controlled with the free NANLINK mobile app.
The app provides remote adjustment of brightness, color temperature, colors, and effects.
This is particularly useful when the fixture is positioned high on a stand, in a distant part of the set, or in another location that is difficult to access.
NANLINK can also control multiple compatible Nanlite and Nanlux fixtures, making Forza 60C suitable for larger wireless lighting setups.
2.4 GHz Wireless Control
In addition to Bluetooth, Forza 60C supports 2.4 GHz wireless control.
It can therefore be used with compatible accessories such as the WS-RC-C2 remote control or WS-TB-1 transmitter box.
This provides another control option for studio and production environments where dedicated remote or centralized wireless operation is preferred.
DMX/RDM for Professional Productions
Forza 60C also supports DMX/RDM control through a locking metal port.
DMX is widely used in professional film, studio, stage, and event lighting, allowing multiple fixtures to be controlled from a central lighting console or control system.
This makes the compact Forza 60C suitable not only for individual content creators but also for professional production environments.
DMX can provide control over parameters including dimming, CCT, G/M adjustment, RGBLAC channels, fan settings, and strobe functions.
