BetaFPV 0802 Brushless – 2026 Freestyle 22000KV motor set

BetaFPV 0802 Brushless Motor 2026 Freestyle 22000KV Blue is a set of four blue brushless motors for building small 1S FPV whoops or replacing their motors. Developed for Air75 II, this Freestyle version is intended for smooth flying and precise throttle control. BETAFPV also uses this motor version in Meteor65 Pro II O4. Product code is 01050026_3.

22000KV Freestyle version and 1S power

Motor speed constant is 22000KV, and the manufacturer specifies a supply voltage of 4.2 V (1S). Freestyle magnetic circuit and winding designs are tuned for smooth control and torque at low throttle, making this version suitable for flying that requires precise thrust modulation.

Maximum output is listed as 22.73 W per motor, with a maximum current of 5.90 A per motor. Electronics selection should account for these ratings, 1S power and the chosen propellers. These specifications apply specifically to the Freestyle 22000KV version.

Thinner stator laminations and updated construction

The 2026 motors use 0.10 mm stator laminations to help reduce magnetic losses and heat generation. BETAFPV reports improved efficiency compared with 0802 motors using 0.15 mm laminations. The Freestyle version uses brass bushings, and each motor weighs 1.88 g.

Rotor housing material and shaft construction have been updated to improve resistance to crash impacts. These changes support use in freestyle flying and repeated practice sessions.

1 mm shaft and three-screw mounting

Shaft diameter is 1.0 mm, and shaft length is 4.0 mm. Propeller selection requires checking shaft bore compatibility and ensuring that propeller diameter suits the frame. Motor mounting uses three M1.4 screw holes equally spaced on a 6.6 mm diameter circle; the manufacturer’s designation is 3 × M1.4 EQS Ø6.6 mm.

Each motor has 35 mm long 30 AWG wires and a JST1.25 3Pin connector. Check wire reach and compatibility with flight controller motor connectors before installation.

Compatible components and propeller selection

On the motor product page, BETAFPV recommends Air75 II and Meteor65 Pro frames, GF 1614 three-blade propellers, a Matrix 1S 5IN1 II flight controller, and LAVA II 1S 480 mAh or 580 mAh batteries. Meteor65 Pro II O4 uses these Freestyle motors with GF 1409 three-blade propellers in its factory configuration. Choose propellers and batteries to suit the specific frame and drone configuration.

Four motors with mounting screws

The package contains four 0802 Brushless Motor 2026 Freestyle 22000KV motors and 12 M1.4 × 3 screws. This provides enough motors for one quadcopter or a stock of replacement motors. Frame, propellers, flight controller and battery are not included.
