BetaFPV Canopy II – Vibration-Damped Camera Canopy for DJI O4 Air Unit

BetaFPV Canopy II is a lightweight and durable canopy designed for installing DJI O4 and O4 Wide cameras on micro FPV and whoop drones. Its redesigned construction combines camera protection, vibration damping, and an adjustable mounting angle to provide more stable footage and secure camera installation. The canopy is primarily compatible with Meteor65 Pro II and Meteor75 Pro II frames.

Made from polypropylene, the camera canopy weighs just 2.66 grams. Low weight helps preserve the micro drone’s flight performance, while the shape of the canopy protects the camera against collisions and other impacts during flight. Compared with the first-generation design, the new construction is easier to install and remove, simplifying maintenance of the camera, video system, and drone.

Effective vibration damping for smoother footage

BetaFPV Canopy II uses a mounting system with four vibration dampers. Soft 8 mm damping balls isolate the camera and canopy from the drone frame, reducing vibrations transferred from the motors and propellers to the camera. This helps minimise the rolling jello effect in recorded footage and supports clearer, more stable HD video.

Vibration damping is particularly important on lightweight whoop drones because oscillations generated by a small frame, high-speed motors, and compact propellers can noticeably affect camera footage. Properly installed dampers help the camera maintain a stable position while absorbing small movements originating from the drone’s structure.

The set includes six vibration dampers, four of which are used to mount the canopy. Two spare dampers allow worn or damaged parts to be replaced when necessary.

Adjustable 15–35° camera angle

BetaFPV Canopy II allows the camera tilt angle to be adjusted from 15 to 35°. A lower angle is suitable for calmer and slower flights because the camera view remains more level when the drone has less forward tilt. A steeper angle is better suited to fast freestyle or racing flights where the drone moves in a more pronounced forward-leaning position.

Flexible mounting holes allow the viewing angle to be adjusted according to flying style and desired speed. The camera is secured with four screws, helping it remain firmly in place during rapid changes of direction, sudden acceleration, and technical manoeuvres. Camera mounting spacing is 14 mm.

Compatibility with DJI O4 and O4 Wide cameras

BetaFPV Canopy II is designed for use with DJI O4 and O4 Wide cameras. Its redesigned shape provides suitable mounting space and protection around the camera, reducing the likelihood of the lens or camera body receiving a direct impact during a collision.

Digital video transmitter, or VTX, mounting holes use a standard 25.5 × 25.5 mm spacing. This makes the canopy suitable for various custom builds and allows a DJI digital video system to be integrated into a compact whoop drone.

A separate DJI O4 Camera Mount may be required when installing a DJI O4 camera. To use the canopy with Pavo20 Pro II or Pavo Pico II, a model-specific top plate must be selected separately. Check the compatibility of the entire mounting system before purchasing, as the required parts may depend on the frame, camera, and video transmitter being used.

Compatible with Meteor65 Pro II and Meteor75 Pro II frames

BetaFPV Canopy II is directly compatible with Meteor65 Pro II and Meteor75 Pro II frames. These compact whoop frames use a four-damper mounting solution that integrates the camera, digital video system, and frame into a complete structure.

The canopy is suitable for building a new drone or replacing an existing Meteor65 Pro II or Meteor75 Pro II camera mount. It is also a practical choice when installing a DJI O4 video system on a compatible drone or replacing a damaged camera canopy.

Lightweight polypropylene construction

BetaFPV Canopy II is made from polypropylene, or PP. This material combines low weight, flexibility, and impact resistance, which are important properties for a micro FPV drone. An excessively rigid cover may crack during a hard collision, while moderately flexible polypropylene can absorb some of the impact energy.

Weighing just 2.66 grams, the canopy adds minimal weight to the drone. This helps preserve flight time, throttle response, and manoeuvrability, all of which are particularly important for small whoop drones. The canopy is available in white, black, blue, and purple, allowing it to be matched with the drone frame and other components.
