GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 Propellers – 90 mm Three-Blade Propellers for 3.5-Inch FPV Drones

GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 Propellers is a set of three-blade 3.5-inch, or 90 mm, propellers designed primarily for GEPRC CineLog35 and other compatible 3.5-inch FPV and cinewhoop drones. Three-blade geometry, a 3-inch pitch and lightweight polycarbonate construction help deliver smooth thrust, precise handling and a flight feel suitable for cinematic footage.

The set contains four grey propellers, including two clockwise and two counter-clockwise models. This configuration provides a complete replacement set for one quadcopter. Each propeller weighs approximately 2.35 g and features an 11 mm hub diameter, 5.5 mm hub thickness and 1.5 mm shaft bore.

Designed for GEPRC CineLog35

GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 propellers are used on GEPRC CineLog35 series FPV drones and are suitable for replacing original propellers. CineLog35 is a cinewhoop platform using 3.5-inch propellers, and its ducted construction requires propellers with a suitable diameter, hub and mounting system. The 90 mm diameter of DT90MMX3 is intended for this size class.

The propellers can also be used with other compatible 3.5-inch FPV drones, but motor shaft, propeller mount, frame and propeller guard dimensions must be checked before installation. Compatibility is not determined by propeller diameter alone. The 1.5 mm shaft bore, hub thickness, motor mounting system and available clearance around the blades must also be considered.

On a cinewhoop drone, each propeller must rotate freely inside its protective duct without touching the frame or propeller guard. After installation, rotate every propeller by hand and check that sufficient clearance remains throughout a complete revolution.

90 mm diameter and 3-inch pitch

GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 has a diameter of 90 mm, or approximately 3.5 inches. This places it in the compact cinewhoop and FPV drone class, where portability and a protected construction are combined with sufficient thrust to carry a camera and other equipment.

Propeller pitch is 3 inches. Pitch describes blade geometry and its theoretical forward travel during one complete revolution. Together with motor speed, drone weight and flight control settings, it affects throttle response, thrust and motor load.

The combination of a 90 mm diameter and 3-inch pitch is suitable for smooth cinewhoop flying, where controlled response and stable movement are important. Actual flight performance depends on the complete power system, including motors, battery voltage, drone weight, electronic speed controller settings and flight controller tuning.

Three-blade design for smooth handling

Each GEPRC HQProp propeller features three blades. At the same diameter, a three-blade design moves more air than a comparable two-blade propeller and helps generate smoother thrust. This can improve the drone’s hold through turns, make throttle response easier to control and support a more stable flight feel.

When filming cinematic footage, a drone should respond predictably to control inputs and maintain smooth movement at lower speeds. Three blades can provide a suitable balance between thrust and handling in this size class, which is why this design is commonly used on ducted cinewhoop drones.

A three-blade propeller may place a greater load on the power system than a comparable two-blade model when used with the same motor and rotational speed. It is therefore important to use the propeller size specified for the drone’s power system and frame rather than replacing it with a model featuring a significantly different pitch or blade profile.

Lightweight polycarbonate construction

GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 Propellers are made from polycarbonate. This material is commonly used for FPV propellers due to its low weight, necessary rigidity and impact resistance. Polycarbonate allows blades to be produced with a thin aerodynamic profile capable of handling loads generated during normal flight.

Each propeller weighs approximately 2.35 g. Low rotating mass allows the motor to change speed quickly, which is important for stabilising the drone and responding to pilot inputs. The total weight of all four propellers is approximately 9.4 g.

Hub diameter is 11 mm and hub thickness is 5.5 mm. These dimensions affect how the propeller sits on the motor shaft and its clearance from the motor, mounting hardware and propeller guard. Grey colouring gives the set a discreet appearance that complements FPV frames with different designs.

1.5 mm shaft bore and correct mounting

The shaft bore of GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 has a diameter of 1.5 mm. Before purchase, check that the drone’s motor and propeller mount match this measurement. A propeller with a shaft bore that is too large or too small should not be forced into place or used with improvised spacers, as an inaccurate connection may cause vibration, propeller slippage or mounting failure.

The propeller must sit straight on the motor without play. A tilted or unevenly mounted propeller can generate vibration that transfers to the drone frame and camera. This may interfere with flight control and cause visible vibration in recorded footage.

Use the mounting method specified for the drone’s motors and suitable original screws. Screw length must be checked carefully, as an excessively long screw may reach the motor windings and damage the motor. A screw that is too short may not secure the propeller properly.

Two CW and two CCW propellers

The set contains two CW, or clockwise, propellers and two CCW, or counter-clockwise, propellers. Four motors on an FPV drone use propellers rotating in different directions to balance torque and allow the aircraft to fly stably.

When installing the propellers, follow the motor directions configured in the drone’s flight controller. A CW propeller must be installed on a clockwise motor and a CCW propeller on a counter-clockwise motor. Incorrectly installed propellers will not generate the required upward thrust, and the drone may flip over during take-off.

Before the first flight following propeller replacement, check the rotation direction of every motor and the position of each blade. Keep people, animals and loose objects away from the drone during testing, and begin with a short, low-altitude test flight.

Checking propeller condition

FPV drone propellers should be inspected before every flying day and after any collision or hard landing. Check for cracks, bent blades, damaged edges and a deformed hub. Even minor damage can cause vibration or blade failure at high rotational speeds.

A damaged GEPRC HQProp propeller should not be straightened using heat or bending. Replace any deformed or cracked propeller. When replacing a propeller on one motor, use a replacement with the same model, diameter, pitch and direction of rotation.

If the drone begins to vibrate more than usual, produces an unusual sound or requires larger control corrections to remain stable after propeller replacement, land and inspect the installation. Flying should not continue until the source of vibration or instability has been identified.

Practical replacement set for a 3.5-inch FPV drone

GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 Propellers is suitable for FPV pilots who need original-size replacement propellers for GEPRC CineLog35 or another compatible 3.5-inch drone. A 90 mm diameter, 3-inch pitch and three-blade construction support smooth and controlled cinewhoop flight.

Each polycarbonate propeller weighs approximately 2.35 g and features an 11 mm hub diameter, 5.5 mm hub thickness and 1.5 mm shaft bore. These specifications should be compared with the requirements of the drone’s motors and frame before installation.

The set contains four grey GEPRC HQProp DT90MMX3 propellers: two clockwise CW propellers and two counter-clockwise CCW propellers. This configuration provides a complete propeller set for one four-motor FPV drone.
