SmallRig 4086 Battery Charger – Smart Dual-Slot Charger for Sony NP-F970 Batteries

The SmallRig 4086 Battery Charger is a professional dual-slot battery charger designed for fast, safe, and convenient charging of Sony NP-F970 and other compatible NP-F series batteries. It is an excellent solution for videographers, photographers, and content creators who rely on NP-F batteries to power cameras, external monitors, LED video lights, and other professional equipment. With support for charging two batteries simultaneously, USB-C and Micro USB inputs, and a built-in USB-A cable, this charger is the perfect companion for both studio use and on-location productions.

Its compact design and versatile connectivity allow you to charge batteries almost anywhere—from a laptop, USB wall charger, power bank, or in-car USB adapter.

Charge Two Batteries Simultaneously

The SmallRig 4086 Battery Charger allows you to charge two NP-F970 batteries at the same time, significantly reducing downtime between shooting sessions. This is especially valuable during professional productions where multiple batteries need to remain ready for continuous use.

The charger automatically detects whether one or two batteries are installed and optimises the charging current to provide the most efficient and safest charging performance.

Fast Charging via USB-C and Micro USB

The SmallRig 4086 Battery Charger supports both USB-C and Micro USB inputs. Both interfaces accept 5V / 2.4A and 9V / 2A input, allowing the charger to be powered by standard USB chargers as well as fast-charging power sources.

When powered by a 5V input, the charger delivers 8.4V / 1000mA when charging a single battery and 8.4V / 700mA per slot when charging two batteries simultaneously. Using a 9V input increases the charging output to 8.4V / 1500mA for a single battery or 8.4V / 1000mA per slot when charging two batteries at the same time.

This enables faster charging and helps minimise interruptions during demanding production schedules.

Built-in USB-A Cable for Maximum Convenience

One of the key advantages of the SmallRig 4086 Battery Charger is its integrated USB-A cable, eliminating the need to carry a separate charging cable. Simply plug the charger directly into a compatible USB power source, making it particularly convenient for travel and location shoots.

In addition, the USB-C and Micro USB inputs provide flexible charging options to suit different power sources and workflows.

Clear LCD Display for Easy Battery Monitoring

The SmallRig 4086 Battery Charger features an easy-to-read LCD display that shows the charging status of both batteries in real time. This allows you to quickly see when your batteries are ready for use and makes it easier to plan your shooting schedule.

The visual charging information improves workflow efficiency while eliminating the need to manually check battery status.

Compact and Durable Construction

The charger is constructed from a durable combination of ABS plastic and polycarbonate (PC), providing excellent strength while remaining lightweight. Measuring 125.2 × 55 × 18 mm and weighing approximately 60 g, it fits easily into a camera bag or backpack without adding unnecessary bulk.

Designed to operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C, the charger delivers reliable performance in a variety of working environments.
