DJI Osmo 360 II – Professional 8K 360° Camera for Capturing Every Angle

DJI Osmo 360 II is a compact and powerful 360-degree camera that captures everything happening around you and lets you choose the ideal perspective later in post-production. The camera combines a 1-inch-class 360° imaging system, up to 8K/60 fps HDR video recording, 120 MP panoramic photos, and a 14.5-stop dynamic range. This makes DJI Osmo 360 II an excellent choice for capturing travel, motorsports, skiing, cycling, diving, and vlogs, as well as for professional content creation.

Weighing just 183 grams, the camera is easy to carry and can be used with a wide range of mounts and accessories. Scratch-resistant replaceable lenses, 105 GB of built-in storage, up to 100 minutes of 8K recording, and intelligent editing tools in DJI Mimo and DJI Studio provide a complete solution for creating high-quality 360° content.

1-Inch-Class 360° Imaging System

DJI Osmo 360 II uses two square 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors, each offering an active imaging area comparable to that of a traditional 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Designed specifically for 360-degree recording, the square sensor configuration uses the available surface area more efficiently, helping reduce power consumption while improving image quality.

Large 2.4 μm pixels and a high-performance imaging processor enable the camera to capture sharp, detailed footage even during fast movement. This makes it suitable for filming ski jumps, mountain biking, motorcycling, and other high-speed activities where both smooth motion and individual frame clarity are important.

Up to 8K/60 fps HDR Video and 120 MP Panoramic Photos

DJI Osmo 360 II records native 8K/60 fps HDR video, capturing the entire scene with excellent detail and smooth motion. High resolution provides greater freedom in post-production because a single 360° recording can be transformed into conventional videos with different perspectives, framing, and camera movements. Even after cropping, footage retains enough detail for social media, video platforms, and more professional projects.

In photo mode, the camera captures up to 120 MP HDR panoramic images. A 360-degree photo captured with a single press can be freely reframed later, allowing the final composition to be selected after shooting. High resolution helps preserve sharpness even when using only a smaller section of the panorama.

The camera also supports 360° timelapse recording at resolutions up to 16K, with final export available through DJI Studio. For slow-motion footage, it can record panoramic video at up to 4K/240 fps. With suitable post-processing, this makes it possible to create up to 64× slow motion and reveal fast-moving moments in exceptional detail.

14.5-Stop Dynamic Range

The 14.5-stop dynamic range of DJI Osmo 360 II helps retain detail in both bright highlights and dark shadows. Independent exposure control for each lens allows the camera to respond to sudden changes in lighting and handle high-contrast environments. This is particularly useful when riding through forest trails, filming on sunlit snow, or moving from indoors to outdoors.

Wide dynamic range reduces the risk of overexposed highlights and shadows without visible detail. The result is a more balanced image that can either be used immediately or refined further in post-production.

AI SuperNight 2.0 for Low-Light Recording

Optics with an f/1.9 aperture and the AI SuperNight 2.0 noise-reduction algorithm help capture cleaner and brighter footage in low-light environments. The camera is suitable for filming evening cityscapes, concerts, fireworks, night-time travel, and other dimly lit scenes where cameras with smaller sensors may produce more digital noise.

AI-powered processing helps preserve detail in both people and their surroundings while reducing grain in low-light footage. For the best results, the manufacturer recommends using night mode in environments with an illuminance of at least 10 lux.

10-Bit Colour Depth and D-Log M

All DJI Osmo 360 II video formats support 10-bit colour depth, allowing the camera to capture more than one billion colours. The additional colour information helps produce smoother transitions in areas such as skies, water, and other surfaces with subtle tonal variations.

The D-Log M colour profile provides experienced creators with greater flexibility during colour correction and makes it easier to match DJI Osmo 360 II footage with material captured using other DJI cameras. DJI Mimo and DJI Studio also support professional filters and custom LUT imports. D-Log M is not available in Photo, Timelapse, or Endurance modes.

Spotlight Follow and Automatic Framing

Spotlight Follow uses artificial intelligence to identify a selected subject and keep it centred in the frame regardless of how the camera rotates during recording. This allows the user to focus on the activity without constantly monitoring the camera’s direction. Conventional flat video can be exported from Spotlight Follow mode at up to 4K/30 fps.

Automatic framing makes 360° footage easier to use, even for people without extensive video-editing experience. DJI Mimo can analyse recorded material, select suitable highlights, and apply ready-made templates and dynamic camera movements. Dual Recording can display both the surrounding view and the creator’s reaction in the same video.

Intelligent Editing and Quick Sharing

NFC Quick Connect allows the camera to connect rapidly to an NFC-enabled smartphone. With the DJI Mimo app installed, tapping the phone against the camera’s NFC area establishes a quick connection, transfers footage, or opens the panoramic video editing interface directly.

DJI Mimo offers one-tap video editing, automatic highlight selection, scenario-specific templates, and camera movement effects. An intelligent stitching algorithm combines footage captured by both lenses into a natural-looking 360° image and optimises seam transitions, including in group shots. Adaptive Tone and HDR help balance high-contrast footage while preserving additional detail.

DJI Studio is available for more professional workflows. It supports intelligent subject tracking, faster footage processing, custom LUT files, and other post-production tools. A plugin for DaVinci Resolve makes it easier to integrate 360° video exported from DJI Studio into a professional editing workflow.

Replaceable, Scratch-Resistant Lenses

Both lenses feature an ultra-durable optical coating that improves resistance to scratches and wear. This is particularly important for a 360° camera because its curved lenses extend beyond the body and may come into contact with surrounding surfaces during active use.

The replaceable lens design of DJI Osmo 360 II allows a damaged lens to be replaced when necessary. A single scratch therefore does not automatically mean replacing the entire camera, providing greater confidence when using it for travel, sports, and other demanding activities.

Waterproof Body and Reliable Cold-Weather Performance

DJI Osmo 360 II has an IP68 rating and is waterproof to a depth of 10 metres without an additional waterproof case. Because the camera’s fisheye lenses are strongly curved, underwater light refraction may cause image distortion and inaccurate stitching. DJI therefore recommends using the separately available Invisible Waterproof Case for underwater recording.

With the optional waterproof case, the camera can be used at depths of up to 50 metres. Before entering the water, users should ensure that the battery compartment and USB-C port covers are securely closed. The camera operates at temperatures as low as –20 °C, making it suitable for winter sports and adventures in cold weather.

Up to 100 Minutes of 8K Recording

Extreme Battery Plus provides up to 100 minutes of continuous 8K/30 fps 360° video recording under laboratory conditions. Actual operating time depends on the selected settings, ambient temperature, and the use of Wi-Fi, the display, voice control, and other functions.

Using a compatible USB-C PD 3.0 charger with an output of at least 30 W, the battery can be charged to 80% in approximately 22 minutes. For longer recording sessions, the separately available Osmo 360 II Battery Extension Rod can provide up to 180 additional minutes of operating time.

105 GB of Built-In Storage

The camera includes 105 GB of usable built-in storage, allowing recording to begin even without a microSD card. Internal storage is especially useful while travelling or in unexpected situations when a separate memory card is unavailable or has run out of space.

Generous internal storage, fast wireless connectivity, and intelligent editing tools create a smoother workflow from recording to sharing. Footage can be reviewed on the camera’s display, transferred to the DJI Mimo app, or processed on a computer using DJI Studio.

Clear Audio and DJI OsmoAudio Support

The built-in four-microphone array and wind-noise reduction system allow DJI Osmo 360 II to capture clear ambient audio directly with the camera. DJI OsmoAudio technology enables compatible DJI microphones, including DJI Mic 3 and DJI Mic Mini 2, to connect directly to the camera without a separate receiver.

The camera can record a conversation between two people while using its built-in microphones to capture a backup track of the surrounding sound. This preserves the natural atmosphere of the scene alongside clear speech. Direct connection to the first-generation DJI Mic is not supported, and microphones are sold separately.

Flexible Mounting and a Wide Range of Accessories

The dual-direction magnetic quick-release system allows accessories to be attached to either side of the camera. An integrated 1/4-inch thread ensures compatibility with conventional photography accessories, tripods, and a variety of mounts from the DJI Osmo ecosystem.

An Invisible Selfie Stick makes it possible to create footage in which the mounting accessory is automatically removed from the final image. This produces drone-like perspectives without using a drone. Depending on the recording scenario, the camera can be attached to a motorcycle, bicycle, ski equipment, tripod, or handheld grip. Selfie sticks, the waterproof case, Battery Extension Rod, and other specialised accessories are sold separately.
