BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro II – Compact and Capable FPV Micro Drone with an ELRS Receiver
BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro II is a whoop-style FPV micro drone with an 80 mm wheelbase, combining 1102 Freestyle brushless motors, 45 mm propellers, and an integrated ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz receiver. Its design with propeller guards is suitable for indoor and outdoor flying, practising precise manoeuvres, and freestyle flight.
The ELRS (w/o O4 Wide) version is supplied without the DJI O4 Wide camera and video transmission module. This allows you to install a compatible video system separately or reuse existing DJI O4 equipment.
Lightweight Frame and Aerodynamic Propeller Guards
The polypropylene frame of BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro II weighs 5.8 grams, combining low weight with a crash-resistant construction. Compared with the previous Meteor75 Pro frame, frame weight has been reduced by approximately 25%, helping keep overall drone weight down.
The number of frame braces has been reduced from six to five, while the curved shape of the propeller guards has been refined to reduce air resistance. The guard rings measure 47 mm in diameter and 4.8 mm in height. They surround the 45 mm propellers and are particularly useful when practising in confined spaces.
Overall frame dimensions are 108.5 × 108.5 × 16.2 mm. The compact design makes the drone easy to carry and allows practice in locations where space is too limited for a larger FPV drone.
1102 Freestyle Motors and Smooth Thrust Control
The propulsion system features 1102 Freestyle brushless motors (2026) with a speed constant of 21,000 KV. Paired with Gemfan 1811 three-blade propellers, they provide smooth throttle response and precise thrust control.
The updated motors feature an improved rotor housing and a reinforced shaft to better withstand impacts during flying. Refined winding construction supports more efficient energy use. This is important both for maintaining a steady flight path and for repeated acceleration and changes of direction.
The motor shaft diameter is 1.5 mm, which must be considered when selecting replacement propellers. Propellers with the correct diameter and mounting hole help maintain proper propulsion system operation and prevent vibration caused by an incorrect fit.
Matrix 1S 3IN1 HD Flight Controller
At the heart of BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro II is the Matrix 1S 3IN1 HD flight controller, which combines a flight controller, electronic speed controllers, and an ExpressLRS receiver on a single board. This integrated design reduces the need for separate components and connecting wires.
An STM32G473 processor runs at 168 MHz and supports Betaflight control functions and flight tuning. The electronic speed controllers support 12 A continuous current and up to 18 A peak current. A 5 V / 3 A voltage regulator supplies power to digital video equipment.
Motor connectors and an SH1.0-6Pin digital video port simplify the installation and maintenance of compatible components. The 3IN1 HD version of the controller is designed for digital FPV systems and does not include an analogue video OSD chip.
ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz Control Link
The integrated ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz receiver supports compatible ELRS radio transmitters or transmitter modules. The serial receiver communicates with the flight controller via the CRSF protocol, and its firmware can be updated independently of the flight controller firmware.
ELRS transmits control commands to the drone. Viewing the FPV feed also requires an installed camera and video transmission module, along with FPV goggles compatible with the selected video system. When choosing a radio transmitter and goggles, check compatibility with the control link and video system respectively.
Canopy II and Camera Vibration Damping
The included Canopy II for O4 Air Unit camera cover is compatible with DJI O4 and O4 Wide cameras. Its mounting system uses four vibration dampers to help reduce vibration transmitted from the frame to the camera and the resulting image distortion, commonly known as the jello effect.
With a compatible camera installed, its tilt angle can be adjusted from 15° to 35°. A lower angle suits relaxed flying, while a higher angle helps maintain a forward view during faster flight when the drone tilts further forward.
A four-screw camera mount helps maintain the selected position during manoeuvres. The removable cover simplifies access to the camera and mounts. In addition to the vibration dampers, motors and propellers must also be in good condition to achieve smooth footage.
1S Battery System and Battery Selection
BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro II uses a BT2.0 battery connector, and the manufacturer recommends LAVA II 1S batteries in 480, 580, or 680 mAh capacities. The battery slot measures 16.1 × 6.3 mm.
A higher-capacity battery may extend flight time, but it also adds weight and affects flight feel. For this version supplied without a video system, actual flight time depends on the camera and video transmission module installed, battery condition, flying style, and operating conditions.
Package Contents and Setup
The PNP package includes the drone, a Canopy II camera cover, four spare Gemfan 1811 propellers, a USB-C to SH1.0 adapter, connecting cables, a 5.8 GHz video antenna, six vibration dampers, and mounting screws. A camera, video transmission module, flight battery, charger, ELRS radio transmitter, and FPV goggles must be purchased separately.
Before the first FPV flight, install the video system, bind the ELRS receiver to the radio transmitter, and check that the control channels, motors, and propellers operate correctly. Betaflight settings allow control response to be adapted to the pilot’s experience and preferred flying style.
