GEPRC Momoda2 5.8G antenna RHCP SMA 170mm
14.90 €
GEPRC Momoda2 is a 170 mm 5.8 GHz FPV antenna with an SMA connector and right-hand circular polarization, or RHCP.
It offers a 5.3–6 GHz frequency range, 2.45 dBi gain and an SWR of no more than 1.43.
Its combined PCB and FPC antenna structure is protected by an ABS housing.
GEPRC Momoda2 – 170 mm RHCP antenna for FPV video systems
GEPRC Momoda2 5.8G antenna RHCP SMA 170mm combines right-hand circular polarization, an SMA connector and a 170 mm design. It can serve as a replacement antenna or a component in a new FPV setup when equipment requires this frequency range, polarization and connection type. Compatibility depends on all these characteristics, rather than matching brand names alone.
Operating frequency and electrical specifications
GEPRC Momoda2 operates across 5.3–6 GHz, with a manufacturer-specified centre frequency of 5.65 GHz. Antenna gain is 2.45 dBi and radiation efficiency is 85%. These values describe its radio-frequency characteristics, but they do not establish a fixed video transmission distance. Practical performance also depends on transmitter and receiver equipment, channel selection, antenna placement and surrounding obstacles.
Specified standing wave ratio, or SWR, is no greater than 1.43. SWR describes how well an antenna is matched to a radio-frequency system: a lower value indicates a better match and less reflected energy. GEPRC tests every antenna using measurement equipment to verify compliance with its SWR requirements.
RHCP polarization and equipment compatibility
This version uses RHCP, meaning right-hand circular polarization. Antennas at both ends of a video link should use compatible polarization. When replacing an existing antenna, check markings on receiver or FPV goggle antennas as well. RHCP and LHCP refer to different circular polarizations and should not be treated as equivalent when assessing compatibility.
An SMA connector allows installation on equipment with a matching SMA antenna connection. Check both connector type and centre contact before installation, since SMA and RP-SMA are different interfaces. Although this is described as a 5.8 GHz antenna, your selected video channel must fall within its supported operating frequency range.
Combined PCB and FPC structure
Momoda2 combines a rigid printed circuit board, or PCB, with a flexible printed circuit, or FPC, in its antenna design. According to GEPRC, this arrangement helps improve frequency consistency while reducing signal transmission losses. An ABS plastic housing encloses the antenna element. Its metallic-style finish is a visual design feature; the specified enclosure material is ABS.
170 mm length and antenna placement
When choosing this 170 mm version, consider your mounting position and nearby components. A longer antenna can help position its head farther from a frame, battery or other obstructing parts, provided the mount allows it. Length alone does not mean higher antenna gain or a guaranteed increase in range. A suitable installation should support the antenna without placing unnecessary mechanical strain on its connection.
Package contents
The package contains one GEPRC Momoda2 antenna with RHCP polarization, an SMA connector and a length of 170 mm. It is intended for users whose compatible FPV video equipment requires this specific combination of connection, polarization and dimensions.
