DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo (Three Batteries) – an immersive FPV drone package for capturing 4K video
DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo (Three Batteries) is a complete FPV drone package combining an immersive first-person flight experience, intuitive controls, and high-quality 4K video recording. DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 3 let pilots steer the drone using natural hand movements, while an ultra-wide 155° field of view creates a feeling of being directly inside the flight. With three Intelligent Flight Batteries, a Two-Way Charging Hub, and a carrying bag, this Fly More Combo is ideal for users who want longer flying sessions and more opportunities to capture footage throughout the day.
DJI Avata 2 is designed for dynamic aerial videos, low-altitude flying, tight flight paths, and perspectives that are difficult to achieve with a conventional camera drone. Integrated propeller guards, a compact body, and easy-to-learn motion control make it suitable both for users choosing their first FPV drone and experienced pilots who need a flexible, reliable platform for creative filming.
Immersive FPV flight with DJI Goggles 3
DJI Avata 2 transmits a live camera feed directly to DJI Goggles 3 included in the package. This allows pilots to experience flight from the drone’s perspective and assess each trajectory more accurately than when using a conventional controller screen. Such a view is particularly useful for fast flybys, filming close to the ground, moving around subjects, and creating smooth FPV shots indoors or outdoors.
DJI Goggles 3 supports a 1080p live feed at up to 100fps. Combined with DJI O4 video transmission, latency can be as low as 24 milliseconds under suitable conditions, allowing the displayed image to respond quickly to every movement. Real View PiP also lets users observe their surroundings without removing the goggles, making flight preparation and post-flight tasks more convenient.
Intuitive control with DJI RC Motion 3
DJI RC Motion 3 included in the package allows DJI Avata 2 to be controlled with natural hand movements. Tilting the controller changes flight direction, while dedicated controls adjust speed, altitude, and other essential functions. This intuitive approach makes it easier to begin flying FPV without immediately having to master a traditional dual-stick controller.
Easy ACRO mode allows DJI Avata 2 to perform impressive manoeuvres with RC Motion 3, including a 180° drift, 360° rotation, and one-touch flip. Automated control makes complex movements accessible to users with less FPV experience and allows them to concentrate on flight paths, composition, and choosing the right moment to capture each shot.
Experienced pilots can pair DJI Avata 2 with a separately available DJI FPV Remote Controller 3. This enables Manual mode and provides more complete control over drone movement. In European Union regions, DJI Avata 2 reaches a maximum horizontal speed of up to 19 m/s in Manual mode, up to 16 m/s in Sport mode, and up to 8 m/s in Normal mode.
1/1.3-inch sensor and video recording at up to 4K/100fps
DJI Avata 2 uses a 1/1.3-inch image sensor with an effective resolution of 12 megapixels. Its large light-sensitive surface helps capture a cleaner, more detailed image and improves performance in situations where lighting conditions change quickly. An f/2.8 lens provides a field of view of up to 155°, while its 35mm-equivalent focal length is 12mm. This ultra-wide perspective emphasises movement and speed while fitting more of the surrounding environment into each frame.
DJI Avata 2 records 4K video in a 16:9 aspect ratio at up to 100fps, making it possible to create smooth slow-motion footage. In a 4:3 aspect ratio, 4K video can be recorded at up to 60fps. Camera also supports 2.7K and Full HD recording at up to 120fps. Maximum video bitrate is 130 Mbps, while footage is saved as MP4 files using H.264 or H.265 compression.
Stable footage and flexible post-production
Fast FPV flight places high demands on image stabilisation. DJI Avata 2 combines a single-axis mechanical gimbal with electronic image stabilisation and supports RockSteady 3.0+ and HorizonSteady technologies. RockSteady 3.0+ reduces vibration and sudden movements while preserving the dynamic character associated with FPV footage. HorizonSteady helps keep the horizon level even during more pronounced banking and turning.
Camera supports a 10-bit D-Log M colour mode, which records more colour and tonal information while providing greater freedom to adjust exposure, contrast, and colours during post-production. This is useful for creators who want to match DJI Avata 2 footage with material from other cameras or give a video a distinctive colour grade. Electronic image stabilisation can also be disabled, allowing wide-angle footage to be stabilised later using Gyroflow software.
Compact design with integrated propeller guards
DJI Avata 2 has an approximate take-off weight of 377 g and measures 185 × 212 × 64 mm. Its compact shape makes the drone easy to transport and suitable for locations where using a larger camera drone would be inconvenient. Integrated propeller guards surround the propellers and help reduce the risk of damage during minor contact.
Propeller guards do not make the drone collision-proof, but they provide an additional layer of protection compared with conventional drones featuring exposed propellers, especially when flying at low altitude, indoors, or near objects. Turtle Mode can help return an overturned drone to an upright position, provided there is enough free space around it to complete the manoeuvre safely.
Visual positioning and flight safety
DJI Avata 2 uses a binocular fisheye visual positioning system facing downward and backward. Downward ToF sensor offers a measuring range of up to 20 metres under suitable conditions, while its precise hovering range is approximately 0.3–10 metres. This system helps maintain a more accurate position in Normal and Sport modes, improving control when flying at low altitude or in confined spaces.
DJI Avata 2 does not feature a complete omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system. Pilots must monitor the flight path, maintain sufficient distance from obstacles, and consider visibility and lighting conditions throughout every flight. Smart RTH, Low Battery RTH, and Failsafe RTH provide additional flight safety. Find My Drone helps locate the aircraft by showing footage from the 30 seconds before it was lost or by activating motor beeping when battery power remains.
DJI Avata 2 belongs to the C1 drone class in European Union. Local drone regulations, geographical restrictions, and radio-frequency requirements must always be followed.
DJI O4 video transmission at distances of up to 10 km in CE regions
DJI O4 video transmission uses four antennas and a 2T4R configuration to deliver a stable, high-definition live feed. Maximum video transmission bitrate is 60 Mbps, while communication bandwidth reaches up to 60 MHz. In regions governed by CE requirements, theoretical maximum transmission distance is up to 10 kilometres in an open, unobstructed, and interference-free environment. Actual transmission range depends on flight conditions, radio interference, physical obstacles, and local restrictions.
Low latency and a smooth live feed make it easier to assess distance from surrounding objects while following fast trajectories. Maximum transmission range does not define a legally permitted flight distance, and DJI Avata 2 must always be operated in accordance with local regulations.
Up to 23 minutes of flight time per battery
DJI Avata 2 provides a maximum flight time of approximately 23 minutes and a hovering time of up to 21 minutes under ideal test conditions. Actual flight time depends on selected flight mode, speed, wind, temperature, recording settings, and manoeuvre intensity. Frequent acceleration and abrupt changes of direction typical of FPV flight may increase energy consumption.
Fly More Combo Three Batteries version includes three Intelligent Flight Batteries, each with a capacity of 2150 mAh. Having several batteries makes it possible to continue flying soon after landing and reduces the need to wait for charging between shots. This is particularly useful during longer filming sessions, on trips, and in situations where a chosen trajectory needs to be repeated several times to achieve the desired result.
Two-Way Charging Hub with power accumulation
DJI Avata 2 Two-Way Charging Hub included in the package holds three batteries simultaneously and charges them in sequence, starting with the battery that has the highest charge level. With charging power of up to 60 W, charging one battery from 0 to 100% takes approximately 45 minutes, while charging from 10 to 90% takes around 30 minutes.
Power accumulation allows remaining energy from several batteries with lower charge levels to be transferred into the battery with the highest charge. This makes it possible to combine power from partially depleted batteries for another practical flight. Charging hub can also function as a power bank, supplying energy to a smartphone, tablet, or another compatible device through its USB-C port.
46 GB of internal storage and convenient file transfers
DJI Avata 2 includes 46 GB of internal storage, allowing recording to begin without a microSD card. For longer filming sessions, drone also supports an additional microSD memory card. Files can be transferred to a smartphone over Wi-Fi using QuickTransfer in DJI Fly app at speeds of up to 30 MB/s. To copy footage to a computer, DJI Avata 2 can be connected with a USB cable while powered off, simplifying file management after a day of flying.
LightCut app offers One-Tap Edit, ready-made templates, flexible editing tools, Sky VFX effects, and intelligent sound effects. These features make it possible to create share-ready videos without using complex professional editing software.
