Transmit high-definition video from your DJI drone or gimbal gear over 3 miles (visibility) for tracking with this DJI Transmission Combo. The combo includes a transmitter and monitor/receiver that transmits up to 1080p60 video using high-performance O3 Pro transmission technology over Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies. Optional high gain antennas are available to improve signal quality and range. The high-brightness monitor has a brightness of 1500 cd/m², a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a touch-sensitive screen.
The system supports automatic frequency hopping to find the strongest signal, and it uses AES 256 encryption to protect your video from prying eyes. It allows you to transmit simultaneously to two receivers in control mode, and in transmit mode it can transmit to unlimited receivers with slightly lower throughput. Control mode allows you to control the gimbal or camera using the touch screen or physical gestures using the built-in gyroscopic sensor.
The devices can be powered by the L-series battery or its DC input, or directly by a DJI gimbal such as the Ronin 2 or RS 3. The monitor has several image tools, such as frame guide, waveform and false colour, and allows the import of custom LUTs.
Long distance HD direct stream
The DJI Transmission incorporates O3 Pro video transmission technology, offering an incredible 20,000 inches of ground transmission range. It also supports transmission at 1080p60 resolution with a maximum bit rate of 50 Mb/s, and real-time audio tracking at 16-bit 48 kHz, providing large location crews with a superior visual and audio tracking experience.
End-to-end ultra-low latency time
The video transmitter and receiver use the same chip solution as the Ronin 4D, with each link explicitly optimised to ensure end-to-end superior transmission latency when interfacing with cinema cameras such as the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF.
Smooth automatic frequency hopping
- The O3 Pro adds a DFS band to the traditional 2.4 and 5.8 GHz, offering up to 23 channel options, enabling more compatible and interference-free transmission channels for professional teams.
- The DJI Transmission supports three-band automatic frequency hopping, which automatically searches the electromagnetic environment to find the best wireless channel.
- With a built-in frequency scrubber, users can even manually select a channel to avoid interference between devices.
Installing high-gain antennas further increases transmission performance.
One transmitter for coordinated operations with multiple receivers
- Two transmission modes are available.
- In control mode, the DJI Transmission ensures optimal power transfer. Two receivers can be tracked simultaneously, while the Ronin 2 and RS 3 Pro gimbal and camera can be remotely controlled.
- Transmit mode can be enabled in addition to control mode to allow an unlimited number of receivers (transmission performance is different from control mode).
- On a larger and more dynamic scale, DJI Transmission can work with 20 or more transmitters sending signals to 20 or more devices, resulting in a seamless and coordinated experience that’s hard to get with traditional transmission setups.
Encrypted transmission
DJI Transmission supports linking and AES 256-bit encryption to prevent leakage of confidential information. Combined with DJI’s proprietary chip and transmission protocol, DJI Transmission can ensure the security of your shots.
