GoPro – GUMBY – Flexible Camera Mount for Irregular Surfaces and Creative Shooting Angles

GoPro – GUMBY is a versatile and flexible GoPro camera mount designed for situations where a conventional tripod, clamp, or adhesive mount is not practical. The mount uses strong and reusable Nite Ize Gear Tie rubber-covered twist ties, allowing a GoPro camera to be attached to railings, fences, tree branches, bicycle frames, pipes, and other irregularly shaped objects. The kit includes the Flexible Grip Mount, two pairs of Nite Ize Gear Tie Reusable Rubber Twist Ties, a Vertical Mounting Buckle, and a thumb screw. The ties are flexible enough to wrap around irregular objects while remaining strong enough to securely hold the camera in place.

A Flexible Mount for Places Where a Conventional Tripod Does Not Fit

According to GoPro, they are flexible enough to wrap around irregular objects while remaining strong enough to securely hold the camera in place.

The rubber exterior improves grip and helps reduce slipping compared with an uncovered metal wire.

Their flexible construction means that the same mount can be wrapped around a narrow railing at one location and adapted to a thicker branch or frame tube at another. After use, the ties can be reshaped and configured differently for the next shooting situation.

Two Pairs of Gear Ties Included

GoPro – GUMBY includes two pairs, or four Gear Tie twist ties in total.

Using multiple ties provides greater flexibility when configuring the mount. Depending on the situation, two ties can be used to secure the mount to an object, while all four can be used when a different or more stable configuration is required.

GoPro also highlights the possibility of shaping the four ties into a four-legged camera stand. In this configuration, GUMBY does not need to be attached to another object. Instead, the flexible legs can be positioned so that the camera stands independently on a suitable surface.

Can Be Used as a Four-Legged Mini Tripod
