- The maximum landing speed has increased from 9 m/s to 10 m/s in the Inspire 2, while the vertical ascent/descent speed has increased from 6 m/s and 4 m/s to 8 m/s.
- Powerful maneuverability provides sensitive, precise control and extended flight time of up to 28 minutes.
- The FPV camera, visual sensors, positioning antennas and memory card slot use designs that are seamlessly integrated with the drone frame to ensure a minimalist appearance and modern industrial aesthetics.
- Inheriting the classic convertible configuration of the Inspire series, the Inspire 3 uses a completely new design that supports 360° Pan and Tilt Boost structures. When the landing gear is lowered, the gimbal supports unobstructed 80° upward shooting, allowing filmmakers to capture strikingly innovative shots.
- From the exterior design to the internal structure, every detail of the Inspire 3 was carefully thought out and optimized.
High-mobility precision flight system
The Inspire 3 integrates high-precision RTK positioning technology, which is used in industries such as architecture and surveying, to ensure centimeter-level accuracy. Compared with traditional meter-level positioning supported by global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), RTK not only makes flying more stable, but also makes flight route planning more accurate, greatly improving creative efficiency.
The drone body is equipped with a novel stacked ceramic design RTK antennas, which enable three types of GNSS (GPS, BeiDou and Galileo) and provide dual-frequency positioning down to the centimeter. By activating the RTK network or setting up the D-RTK 2 mobile station [6], users can achieve high-precision positioning without installing additional modules.
- Custom Network RTK – Use Custom Network RTK directly in areas covered by RTK. Simply enable internet access in DJI RC Plus and connect to the NTRIP server so that the Inspire 3 can receive comprehensive data for fast and accurate positioning.
- RTK Base Station – In environments without network RTK coverage, the RTK function can be used by setting up a D-RTK 2 mobile station. The Inspire 3 can then receive comprehensive data from the mobile station for accurate positioning.
Dual Ceramic Antennas
Both the front and rear of the Inspire 3 feature a built-in stacked ceramic antenna, providing powerful anti-magnetic interference to further improve flight accuracy and safety.
Waypoint Pro
Designed specifically for aerial cinematography, Waypoint Pro allows for flight path and shot planning with a wide range of custom settings. With new repeatable routes and 3D Dolly modes, it’s easy to achieve an innovative automated shooting experience. Plus, centimeter-level RTK positioning ensures more accurate flight path planning and execution. Whether you’re working alone or with a professional team, use Waypoint Pro to control even the most complex scenes.
Repeat Routes
With repeat routes, the drone automatically flies the same route and maintains all preset parameters, such as altitude, speed, gimbal angle, and camera settings. Repeating the same flight mission allows videographers to effortlessly complete complex one-shots or fly over the same location at different times to easily create long-term time-lapses that capture transitions, such as from day to night or from season to season.
3D Dolly
- 3D Dolly can simulate a crane, cable camera, or dolly on a film set, while overcoming the limitations of these devices.
- After planning a flight path, the film operator can manually control the drone to move back and forth along the route, while adjusting parameters such as speed, gimbal angle, and more to suit the needs of the shoot. This makes complex cinema-quality camera movements easier and more efficient, and can provide better visual effects.
Spotlight Pro
- An upgrade from the Inspire 2, Spotlight Pro gives solo creators even more shooting options. Powered by powerful machine learning algorithms, the Inspire 3 supports automatic detection and locking on to people, vehicles, and boats with greater accuracy than its predecessor.
- When using Spotlight Pro tracking mode, the drone and gimbal camera orient in the same direction and remain locked on the subject, allowing the pilot to capture circling shots without manually adjusting the frame.
- Thanks to the Inspire 3’s 360° gimbal movement, in free mode, the camera can remain locked on the subject while the solo pilot uses the FPV camera to monitor their surroundings and control the flight path more sensitively, achieving more complex camera movements more easily.
Omnidirectional Sensor System
- The Inspire 3 is equipped with nine sensors, enabling a robust omnidirectional sensor system that can detect obstacles in all directions and provide all-round protection for flight.
- For the first time, a fisheye camera has been added to each of the four landing gear. This design helps to avoid obstacles from the aircraft body when the landing gear is raised and allows horizontal obstacle detection when the landing gear is lowered.
- 360° horizontal visual sensors, Upward-facing visual sensors, Downward-facing visual sensors, Downward-facing ToF sensors
Customizable Obstacle Detection
- A new customizable feature on the Inspire 3 that helps ensure greater flight safety and creative freedom. Horizontal, upward, and downward obstacle detection can be independently enabled or disabled, and the obstacle warning range can be manually set to suit different scenarios.
- When active avoidance is turned off, users can still see the distance to the obstacle in real time on the navigation screen and receive an audio alert when the obstacle is within the specified range without the aircraft performing an automatic avoidance maneuver. This brings new possibilities for professional drone teams who want to achieve more sophisticated camera language.
Ultra-wide Night Vision FPV Camera
The Inspire 3 is equipped with a new 1/1.8-inch sensor FPV camera with a pixel size of 3μm, an ultra-wide DFOV of 161°, and the ability to broadcast live streams at up to 1080p/60fps. Compared to its predecessor, the DFOV is approximately doubled. This FPV camera offers more impressive light sensitivity, allowing pilots to observe their surroundings vividly and clearly even at night, ensuring greater flight safety.
