Contacto waterproof magnetic power cable and door kit¹ allow quick and easy connection to an external power source via magnetic connection. It can also connect directly to the camera to extend recording time.

HLG-HDR Video
HERO13 Black takes its best image quality to the next level with the ability to record in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) format, used by professionals for 5.3K and 4K video in 10-bit and Rec. 2100 color space. This advanced feature requires a compatible display and media player for playback. However, users can still capture videos in HDR format without HLG for standard displays and media players.
Wide, Vertical, and Full-Frame Capture
HERO13 Black’s powerful 1/1.9-inch image sensor offers more options. Choose wide screen capture (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on TVs or vertical videos (9:16 aspect ratio) for social media posts. For maximum flexibility, the full-frame option (8:7 aspect ratio) provides a 156° field of view, allowing later cropping into wide and vertical shots.
10-bit Color and Log Encoding
HERO13 Black offers the choice of standard video recording in 10-bit or Log encoding with 10-bit GP-Log. 10-bit color displays over 1 billion color shades, delivering deeper color representation, smoother transitions, and more realistic image quality. Advanced users can utilize GP-Log to extract more detail from footage and perform color grading in post-production (LUT table available).
Timecode Sync
Advanced users with more than one HERO13 Black can sync their cameras with precise timecode, making multi-camera editing much easier. This works with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and other editing software to simplify post-production further.

HERO13 Black captures 27 MP single, time-lapse, burst, and night shots, allowing you to capture regular, fast, and low-light scenes. You can also grab amazing photos up to 24.7 MP from your favorite video frames using the GoPro Quik app.
Bluetooth Audio Connectivity
Bluetooth audio allows HERO13 Black to connect wirelessly with compatible devices. Use a wireless microphone for improved audio quality when narrating a scene or during interviews. By connecting your wireless headphones, GoPro can hear your voice commands even in noisy environments or when the camera is out of earshot.
