At the pinnacle of aerial videography, the DJI Inspire 3 offers unprecedented workflow efficiency and creative freedom. This all-in-one 8K-camera drone gives professional-level filmmakers the ability to fully maximize the potential of any shot and master the unseen.
- The DJI Inspire3 is a professional camera drone with a new enhanced design that takes full account of aerodynamics to reduce drag.
- The maximum ground speed has increased from 9 m/s to 10 m/s for the Inspire 2, while the vertical climb/descent speed has increased from 6 m/s to 4 m/s and 8 m/s to 8 m/s respectively.
- Powerful manoeuvrability ensures responsive, precise control and extended flight time of up to 28 minutes.
- The FPV camera, visual sensors, positioning antennas and memory card slot use designs that are seamlessly integrated into the drone frame for a minimalist look and modern industrial aesthetics.
- Inheriting the Inspire series’ classic convertible configuration, the DJI Inspire 3 uses a completely new design that supports 360° Pan and Tilt Boost structures. When the axis is lowered, the gimbal supports unobstructed 80° upward shooting, allowing film operators to capture strikingly innovative shots.
- From the exterior design to the internal structure, every detail of Inspire 3 was carefully thought out and optimised.
High-mobility precision steering system
The DJI Inspire 3 integrates high-precision RTK positioning technology used in industries such as architecture and surveying to ensure centimetre accuracy. Compared to traditional metre-level positioning supported by Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), RTK not only makes flying more stable, but also makes flight path planning more accurate, dramatically improving creative efficiency.
Built into the drone’s body are RTK antennas with a novel stacked ceramic design that enable three types of GNSS (GPS, BeiDou and Galileo) and provide dual-frequency positioning down to centimetres. By activating the RTK network or by configuring the D-RTK 2 mobile station [6], users can achieve high-precision positioning without installing additional modules.
- Customized network RTK – Use the custom network RTK directly in areas covered by RTK. Simply enable Internet access on the DJI RC Plus and connect to the NTRIP server to allow the DJI Inspire 3 to receive comprehensive data for fast and accurate positioning.
- RTK base station – In environments where there is no RTK coverage on the network, the RTK function can be used by configuring a D-RTK 2 mobile station. The DJI Inspire 3 mobile station can then receive comprehensive data for accurate positioning.
Double ceramic atennas
Both the front and rear of the DJI Inspire 3 have a built-in stacked ceramic antenna that provides powerful anti-magnetic interference to further improve flight accuracy and safety.
Waypoint Pro
Specifically designed for aerial cinematography, Waypoint Pro allows you to plan flight paths and shots with a wide range of custom settings. With new recurring routes and 3D Dolly modes, it’s easy to achieve an innovative automated shooting experience. In addition, RTK centimetre-level positioning ensures more accurate route planning and execution. Whether working alone or as part of a professional team, use Waypoint Pro to control even the most complex scenes.
Repeat marches
Using repetitive routes, the drone automatically flies the same route and retains all preset parameters such as altitude, speed, gimbal angle and camera settings. Repeating the same flight task allows videographers to effortlessly perform complex one-off shots or fly at different times in the same location to easily create long time-lapse shots that capture transitions, such as day to night or season to season.
3D Dolly
- The 3D Dolly can simulate a crane, a cable camera or a dolly on film sets, while overcoming the limitations of these devices.
- After planning the flight route, the film operator can manually control the drone to move back and forth along the route, while adjusting parameters such as speed, gimbal angle and more to suit the needs of the shot. This makes it easier and more efficient to move the camera in complex cinematography and can deliver better visual effects.
Spotlight Pro
- Upgraded from Inspire 2, Spotlight Pro gives solo artists even more recording options. Based on powerful machine-learning algorithms, DJI Inspire 3 supports automatic detection and locking of people, vehicles and boats with greater accuracy than its predecessor.
- When using Spotlight Pro tracking mode, the drone and gimbal camera are oriented in the same direction and remain locked on the subject, allowing the pilot to take orbiting shots without manual frame adjustment.
- Thanks to the DJI Inspire 3’s 360° gimbal movement, the camera can remain locked on the subject in free mode, while the solo pilot uses the FPV camera to control his surroundings and more sensitively steer the flight path to achieve more complex camera movements more easily.
Multidirectional sensor system
- The DJI Inspire 3 is equipped with nine sensors, enabling a robust multi-directional sensor system that can detect obstacles in any direction and provide all-round protection for flight.
- For the first time, a fisheye camera has been added to each of the four landing gears. This design helps to avoid obstructions from the fuselage when the landing gear is raised and allows horizontal obstruction to be detected when the landing gear is lowered.
- 360° Horizontal visual sensors, Upward visual sensors, Downward visual sensors, Downward ToF sensors.
Adaptive obstacle detection
- Inspire 3 has a new customisable feature to help ensure greater flight safety and creative freedom. Horizontal, upward and downward obstacle detection can be independently enabled or disabled, and the obstacle warning range can be manually set to suit different scenarios.
- When active avoidance is switched off, users can still view the distance to the obstacle on the navigation screen in real time and receive an audible alert when the obstacle is within the specified range, without the aircraft performing an automatic avoidance manoeuvre. This brings new possibilities for professional drone teams looking to achieve more sophisticated camera angles.
Overhead night vision FPV camera
The Inspire 3 features a new 1/1.8-inch FPV camera with a 3 μm pixel size, a 161° wide-angle DFOV and the ability to live stream at up to 1080p/60 frames per second. Compared to its predecessor, the DFOV is almost double. This FPV camera offers more impressive light sensitivity capabilities, allowing pilots to monitor their surroundings vividly and clearly even at night, and ensuring greater flight safety.

Independent links for dual control
- Compared to its predecessor, Inspire 3 has a significantly improved dual control experience. Two remote control consoles can receive live feeds and control the drone independently, so the pilot and gimbal operator can be in different locations on the shooting site. This breaks the Inspire 2’s limitations in linking primary and secondary control links.
- If the pilot loses the drone’s signal, the gimbal operator can now take control of the aircraft to safely return home or land directly.
Compatible with DJI PRO ecosystem
Supports DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor-i
In addition to RC Plus, Inspire 3 also allows you to use the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor as a second remote control. The remote monitor can be paired directly to the Inspire 3 for live feeds, and can even control the gimbal and focus when the Ronin 4D handles are attached. The remote monitor’s HDMI and SDI ports can also output real-time streams to other monitoring devices.
Supports DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus
As a member of the DJI PRO ecosystem, the new DJI three-channel Follow Focus is capable of transmitting control signals to the Inspire 3 via the O3 Pro transmission system (which requires a DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor to act as a repeater). With the three-channel Follow Focus, the focus puller can achieve precise remote control and aperture stepless adjustment to provide an integrated wireless tracking and steering experience.
* When using DJI’s three-channel tracking focus with two DJI RC Plus remotes, the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor needs to be connected to the gimbal operator’s RC Plus via HDMI and USB A-C cables. This allows the drone, gimbal and focus control to be done independently by designated personnel.
Supports DJI Master Wheels
When connected to the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor as a second controller (as a PRO ecosystem proxy), the Inspire 3 gimbal can be controlled using the DJI Master Wheels. In this way, it can offer a gimbal control experience equivalent to the Ronin 2 to match the working habits of kinaesthetes.
