Who is Kaur Treimann?
Kaur Treimann, born and raised in Tallinn, is a technically trained engineer whose creative side manifests itself in the creation of travel videos. His YouTube channel, Arvi There Yet, takes viewers with his family to discover the beauty spots of Europe in the company of Arvi, a miniature caravan. The beginning of droning: the need for a higher view
Kauri’s interest in droning came from a practical need – when making travel videos, he felt that he could not capture the grandeur of nature and landscapes with a camera only from the ground. “The first time I filmed with a drone, everything changed – the shots were real and it felt like you were over the mountains or exploring the coastline,” Kaur recalls. The drone became an essential part of his travel videos.
First drone and first lessons learned
Kauri’s first drone was a DJI Spark – small but powerful. “The first conflict was with the willows, which quickly reminded me that nature and the laws of physics have their own rules.” Such lessons helped Kauri to hone his drone flying skills and make his flights safer and more secure.
Making movies – not just hovering
Kaur likes to capture moments with his drone, so that he can later edit them into video format. “Just buzzing around in the sky is not my style – it seems to me that any pointless clip is digital garbage that should be avoided,” he adds. His aim is always to capture something purposeful and valuable that adds dimension to the trip and helps create memorable visuals.
A memorable adventure in Malta
One of Kauri’s most memorable drone flights was in Malta, when he filmed a boat trip with his daughter on a fishing trip. “The wind was strong and the waves played their own rhythm – every drone pilot’s little nightmare. My back was wet, but the risk paid off – I got some really fierce shots.” he shared.
Natural landscapes – perfect for drones
Kauri’s heart has been won by natural landscapes that take on a whole new look from the air. “From the turquoise rivers of Slovenia to the hills of Romania, a drone gives a whole new dimension to a place,” says Kaur. Nature always plays a starring role in his videos, providing the viewer with inspiring moments.
Technical challenges and solutions
The loss of connection between the drone and the remote control was a familiar problem for Kauri with older drones. “Determining the homepoint was always important because you never knew if the drone would come back to the right place.” Now, with the DJI Mini 3 Pro and the DJI RC Remote Controller, flying has become smoother and the technical issues are a thing of the past.

- Be patient and realistic – carefully consider your actions before you fly and don’t rush. “The drone laws are there for a reason,” Kaur stressed.
