DJI Mic Mini 2S (2TX + 1RX) – wireless microphone system with two transmitters and a charging case
DJI Mic Mini 2S (2TX + 1RX) is a comprehensive wireless microphone system that includes two transmitters weighing approximately 12 g each, one receiver with versatile connectivity options, and a charging case. It is suitable for recording two-person interviews, podcasts, vlogs, live streams, travel videos, training sessions, and other content with cameras, smartphones, tablets, and computers.
Each transmitter features 32-bit float internal recording, two-level AI noise cancellation, a transmission range of up to 400 metres, and approximately 14.5 GB of internal storage. These features help capture clear audio while creating a separate backup recording for each speaker. Transmitters provide up to 11 hours of operating time per charge, receiver lasts up to 10 hours, and a fully charged charging case extends total system operating time to up to 40 hours.
DJI Mic Mini 2S (2TX + 1RX) is ready for separate two-person recording straight out of the box, while system support for up to four transmitters makes future expansion possible. This makes it a practical choice for everyday content creation as well as group interviews, panel discussions, and more professional productions.
Two transmitters for recording two speakers separately
Two included transmitters allow each speaker to use a dedicated microphone. This helps maintain clear voices and consistent audio levels even when participants are positioned apart, speak at different volumes, or move during recording.
A two-transmitter setup is ideal for interviews, conversations, podcasts, presentations, and videos with two hosts. Depending on selected channel mode, audio can be combined into a single track or recorded separately for each transmitter, providing greater control over volume, processing, and positioning of each speaker during post-production.
32-bit float internal recording in both transmitters
Both DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitters support 32-bit float internal recording, which captures audio with an exceptionally wide dynamic range. This reduces the need to monitor audio levels continuously or adjust gain manually while recording. If one speaker suddenly becomes louder, moves closer to the microphone, or sound conditions change rapidly, 32-bit float recording provides more flexibility for recovering very quiet or loud sections during post-production.
Wide dynamic range helps reduce the risk of clipping and distortion. Microphones should still be positioned correctly and configured with settings appropriate for each recording situation to achieve the best results. 32-bit float internal recording is disabled by default and can be activated in DJI Mimo app.
Because both transmitters record audio independently to their internal storage, a separate backup is created for each speaker. This provides additional protection during two-person interviews and other unrepeatable recordings, ensuring that a temporary connection issue does not make all captured material unusable.
Approximately 14.5 GB of internal storage in each transmitter
Each transmitter has approximately 14.5 GB of internal storage, providing capacity for up to 28 hours of 24-bit audio. In 32-bit float mode, each transmitter can store up to 22 hours of audio. A two-transmitter system therefore records each speaker separately and allows internal recordings to serve as a backup for wireless audio transmission.
Large storage capacity is suitable for long interviews, events, training sessions, and podcasts without requiring transmitter memory to be cleared after every short recording. Loop recording uses available storage continuously and helps keep transmitters ready for backup recording throughout a long working day.
Internal recording can be configured to start automatically when a transmitter is powered on. When used with DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver, recording can also be synchronised with receiver operation: internal recording starts automatically when connection is restored and stops when receiver is switched off. If receiver battery becomes low, system can automatically activate internal recording on transmitters to protect important audio.
Transmitters can also be used as standalone audio recorders without a receiver. This is useful for capturing interviews, voice notes, lectures, or other audio material when wireless transmission is not required.
Original or processed audio files
Internal recordings can be saved as unprocessed Original Files or as algorithm-enhanced Edited Files. Original File format is suitable for users who want the cleanest possible source material for independent post-production. Edited Files can include noise cancellation, voice tone presets, low-cut filtering, and adaptive gain control.
This makes it possible to choose a workflow based on specific needs: flexible unprocessed audio or sound already optimised during recording. Edited File format is used by default, and this setting can be changed through DJI Mimo app or a compatible connected device.
Fast file transfer through charging case
Included charging case is designed for more than charging and storing devices. It can be connected directly to a computer or smartphone to transfer internal audio recordings from transmitters at speeds of up to 34 MB/s.
Under suitable conditions, this transfer speed allows a 30-minute 24-bit audio file to be copied in approximately eight seconds. Fast file transfer reduces time spent importing material and streamlines post-production workflow, especially after long interviews or several consecutive recording sessions.
Two-level AI noise cancellation
DJI Mic Mini 2S uses a new AI-based noise cancellation model that helps separate speech from surrounding noise while preserving clarity of both speakers’ voices. Users can select between two noise cancellation levels according to their recording environment.
Basic mode is suitable for quieter indoor environments where noise from fans, air conditioning, room reverberation, or other moderate background sounds needs to be reduced. Strong mode is designed for noisier conditions and helps suppress traffic, crowds, and other loud ambient sounds.
Noise cancellation can be activated using a button on a transmitter or through DJI Mimo app, and it is disabled by default. When using a receiver, noise cancellation can be switched on or off for both transmitters simultaneously, simplifying setup before a two-person recording.
If Original File is selected as internal recording file type, noise cancellation is not applied to original internal audio files. It still affects audio transmitted to receiver, allowing unprocessed backups from both transmitters to be preserved while noise cancellation is applied to wireless audio.
Included windscreens help reduce wind gusts and other unwanted noise outdoors, making this system a practical choice for travel videos, street interviews, and outdoor live streams.
Three voice tone presets
DJI Mic Mini 2S offers three voice tone presets for adapting recorded sound to a user’s voice and style of content. Regular mode delivers clean, natural, and balanced audio. Rich mode emphasises lower frequencies to make voices sound fuller and more powerful, while Bright mode highlights higher frequencies to add clarity and presence to speech.
Voice tone can be selected in DJI Mimo app, with Regular mode enabled by default. If internal recording is set to Original File format, selected voice tone is not applied to original internal files but still affects audio transmitted to receiver.
Adaptive gain control
Automatic gain adjustment helps stabilise audio volume when speakers’ distance from microphones or surrounding sound levels change. Clipping Control mode reduces sudden volume peaks and helps protect recordings against distortion. This is useful at sporting events, near traffic, and in other environments with rapidly changing sound levels.
Loudness Balance mode adjusts gain dynamically to maintain more consistent speech volume. It is suitable for interviews, vlogs, and live streams where participants may move or speak at different volumes during recording. Adaptive gain control can be configured in DJI Mimo app and is disabled by default.
Two transmitters weighing approximately 12 g each
Each DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitter weighs approximately 12 g with its magnetic front cover, excluding magnet and attachment clip. Low weight makes microphones comfortable to wear during longer recording sessions, reduces fabric sagging, and helps transmitters remain discreet on camera.
Transmitters can be attached to clothing with a magnet or clip. Removable attachment clip rotates fully around its axis, allowing each microphone to be positioned sideways or upside down while maintaining a suitable orientation for different garments and shooting angles.
Transmitter appearance can be customised with magnetic front covers in different colours, sold separately. This allows microphones to blend more discreetly with clothing or a production’s visual style, or to be used intentionally as design elements.
Versatile receiver for cameras and smart devices
Included DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver allows wireless audio to be used with cameras, smartphones, tablets, and computers. Receiver features a 3.5 mm TRS connection for transmitting audio to a compatible camera or other recording device. Compatibility and required cables or adapters depend on connected equipment.
DJI Mimo app can be used to adjust microphone settings, select noise cancellation level and voice tone, configure gain control, and update firmware. Receiver provides quick access to key system functions and makes the kit suitable for both camera-based and mobile workflows.
Transmission range of up to 400 metres
Wireless transmission range between DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitters and receiver can reach up to 400 metres in an open, unobstructed, interference-free environment. This gives content creators greater freedom of movement during interviews, events, demonstrations, sports, and other recordings covering a larger area.
Actual operating range depends on surroundings, buildings, people, radio-frequency interference, device positioning, and other conditions. Range may be shorter in busy urban environments or rooms separated by walls than in open outdoor areas.
Mono, stereo, and quad-channel operating modes
DJI Mic Mini 2S supports mono, stereo, and quad-channel audio transmission. With two transmitters, audio from two speakers can be recorded to one track or separate channels as required. Separate channels provide greater control over volume, processing, and positioning of each participant during editing.
Safety Track can also be activated in DJI Mimo app, recording a backup track at 6 dB below main channel. This helps reduce the risk of losing material because of excessive audio levels, clipping, or distortion.
Four separate audio channels can be output to compatible Sony cameras when using DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter, sold separately. Quad-channel output can also be used with selected computer software through a USB connection. This feature allows audio from four speakers to be recorded separately and provides more precise control over levels and mixing during post-production.
Expandable to four transmitters
Included DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver can connect to up to four transmitters simultaneously. System also supports compatible DJI Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2, and Mic Mini 2S transmitters from different generations, allowing existing devices to be combined and the system to be expanded gradually.
DJI Mic Mini 2S (2TX + 1RX) includes two transmitters. If recording three or four speakers becomes necessary in the future, additional compatible transmitters can be purchased separately. Expandability makes this system suitable for podcasts, group interviews, round-table discussions, and commercial productions.
Direct OsmoAudio connection
DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitters support direct OsmoAudio connection, allowing them to connect to selected DJI Osmo devices without using included receiver. Compatible devices include DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6. Depending on Osmo model, up to two transmitters can be connected directly.
OsmoAudio transmits high-quality 48 kHz / 24-bit audio and helps keep camera setup more compact. Direct connection of two transmitters is well suited to interviews and two-person vlogs where a separate receiver is not required.
Bluetooth connection to a smartphone
Transmitters can also be used as Bluetooth microphones and connected directly to a smartphone. One transmitter can be used at a time through a direct Bluetooth connection, and microphone works with compatible third-party recording and live-streaming applications.
A smartphone’s native camera app does not support a transmitter connected directly via Bluetooth as an audio source. For standard smartphone video recording, included receiver can be used with a compatible connection or suitable adapter.
Each transmitter stores pairing information for two receivers and one compatible Osmo camera. After initial pairing, devices can reconnect automatically, making it easier to switch between a camera, smartphone, and Osmo device.
Charging case for storage and charging
Included charging case keeps transmitters, receiver, and essential accessories together while charging devices during transport or between recording sessions. It accommodates two transmitters, receiver, magnetic mounts, attachment clips, front covers, windscreens, a 3.5 mm TRS cable, and other essential system accessories.
Charging case also has space for DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver and a compatible mobile adapter, both sold separately. These accessories are not included in standard DJI Mic Mini 2S (2TX + 1RX) package, but case design allows an expanded system to be stored together in a compact form.
Up to 40 hours of total operating time
Each DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitter provides up to 11 hours of operation per charge, while receiver lasts up to 10 hours. A fully charged charging case provides approximately 3.2 additional charges, extending total system operating time to up to 40 hours.
Long battery life makes this system suitable for multi-day trips, events, extended interviews, and busy production schedules. Actual operating time depends on enabled functions, connection conditions, ambient temperature, and other usage factors.
Approximately five minutes of charging can provide each transmitter and receiver with up to one additional hour of operating time. Fast charging helps get devices ready again during a short break and reduces waiting during a busy working day.
To conserve power, transmitters automatically enter sleep mode when no receiver signal is detected. Once connection is restored, they wake and reconnect to receiver. Automatic power-off can also be enabled in DJI Mimo app, allowing devices to switch off after remaining disconnected for an extended period.
When using a compatible camera setup and appropriate settings, receiver power can be synchronised with camera power status. This streamlines workflow and reduces the risk of leaving receiver switched on accidentally after recording has finished.
