DJI Zenmuse H30T – Professional Multi-Sensor Camera for Around-the-Clock Operations
DJI Zenmuse H30T is a weather-resistant professional multi-sensor camera that combines five essential tools in one stabilised payload: a high-zoom camera, wide-angle camera, high-resolution thermal camera, laser rangefinder and NIR auxiliary light. This combination enables detailed visual and thermal data collection during both daytime and nighttime operations, reducing the need to switch between separate camera payloads.
DJI Zenmuse H30T is suitable for rescue missions, fire monitoring, law enforcement and security operations, power grid inspections, industrial facility inspections, forestry, environmental monitoring and other tasks requiring small details to be identified from long distances or temperature differences to be detected. Camera system is compatible with DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK drones. DJI RC Plus remote controller is required when using Matrice 300 RTK.
Five Modules in One Compact Camera System
DJI Zenmuse H30T combines multiple complementary sensors in a single housing to support demanding professional operations. Wide-angle camera provides a quick overview of an entire incident area or inspected object, zoom camera enables detailed examination from long distances, thermal camera reveals temperature differences, while laser rangefinder helps determine object distance and location. An 850 nm NIR auxiliary light improves visibility in darkness when conventional lighting is insufficient.
All sensors are mounted on a stabilised three-axis gimbal, helping maintain clear and smooth imagery despite drone movement, vibration or wind. Controllable tilt range extends from –120° to +60°, while pan range reaches ±320°, allowing objects to be inspected from different angles without repeatedly repositioning the drone.
40 MP Zoom Camera with Up to 400× Magnification
DJI Zenmuse H30T zoom camera uses a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor with an effective resolution of 40 megapixels. Lens offers an equivalent focal length ranging from 33.4 mm to 809.3 mm and an aperture range of f/1.6–f/5.2. Camera supports up to 34× optical zoom and maximum digital magnification of up to 400×, allowing objects to be observed and documented from a safe distance.
Zoom capability can be used to inspect power line connections, insulator strings, wind turbines, towers, roofs and other difficult-to-access structures. During rescue and security operations, powerful magnification allows people, vehicles and other important details to be monitored without flying too close to an incident area.
Zoom camera records video at up to 4K resolution and 30 frames per second while capturing photos with a maximum resolution of 7328 × 5496 pixels. Automatic and manual focusing, exposure compensation, and automatic or manual exposure control are supported. In Night Scene mode, ISO sensitivity can reach 819,200, helping produce usable images even in extremely low-light environments.
48 MP Wide-Angle Camera for Rapid Situational Awareness
Wide-angle camera uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and provides 48 MP resolution. Its f/1.7 lens has a 24 mm equivalent focal length and an 82.1° diagonal field of view, allowing operators to obtain a broad overview of an inspected area in a single frame.
Wide-angle camera helps quickly locate an object of interest, which can then be examined more closely using zoom or thermal camera. This is especially useful during rescue missions, forest and terrain monitoring, and inspection of large industrial or infrastructure sites. Camera records video at up to 4K/30fps and captures photos with a maximum resolution of 8064 × 6048 pixels. ISO sensitivity in Night Scene mode reaches up to 409,600.
High-Resolution Thermal Camera
Integrated thermal camera in DJI Zenmuse H30T is based on an uncooled VOx microbolometer and delivers thermal imagery at 1280 × 1024 resolution. Video is recorded at the same resolution at up to 30 frames per second, enabling moving objects and rapidly changing heat sources to be observed in greater detail. Thermal camera has a 24 mm lens with a 52 mm equivalent focal length, 45.2° field of view and f/0.95 aperture. System also supports up to 32× digital thermal zoom.
Thermal camera supports spot, area and centre-point temperature measurement as well as temperature alerts. In High Gain mode, temperatures can be measured from –20 to +150°C, or up to +450°C with an infrared density filter. Low Gain mode provides a measurement range of 0 to +600°C, extending up to +1600°C with a suitable infrared density filter. Exact measurement range depends on selected mode, filter and operating conditions.
High-resolution thermal imaging helps identify overheated electrical connections, overloaded components, heat loss from buildings, faulty solar panels, hotspots in forest or terrain fires, and people or animals in environments with limited visibility. Radiometric thermal images are saved in R-JPEG format, allowing more detailed post-flight analysis with DJI Thermal Analysis Tool 3.
Laser Rangefinder with a Range of Up to 3000 Metres
Integrated 905 nm laser rangefinder measures object distances from 3 to 3000 metres. At distances up to 500 metres, measurement accuracy is ±(0.2 m + 0.15% of measured distance), while accuracy at longer distances is ±1 metre. Actual maximum range depends on object material and shape, gimbal angle, visibility and weather conditions.
Laser rangefinder helps operators determine the position of an object of interest, measure its distance and provide teams with more accurate situational information. This function is valuable during search and rescue missions, fire monitoring, security operations and infrastructure inspections where immediately approaching an object may be impossible or unsafe.
NIR Auxiliary Light for Nighttime Operations
DJI Zenmuse H30T uses an 850 nm NIR auxiliary light to improve zoom-camera visibility in darkness. At a distance of 100 metres, illuminator produces an approximately 8-metre-diameter illuminated area. Its narrow beam corresponds with zoom camera’s field of view, helping identify objects that a conventional camera cannot display clearly due to insufficient ambient light.
NIR auxiliary light complements thermal camera but does not replace it. Thermal camera helps locate a heat source, while NIR light and zoom camera provide a more detailed visual view of an object’s shape, clothing, vehicle or surrounding environment.
Intelligent Imaging and Observation Functions
DJI Zenmuse H30T supports Link Zoom and Click to Aim, making it faster to switch between sensors and position an object of interest in the centre of frame. High-Res Grid Photo captures detailed high-resolution views of a selected area, Night Scene improves operation in low-light conditions, while Smart Capture automatically adjusts imaging parameters according to current conditions.
Video pre-recording helps capture events that occur before record button is pressed, reducing risk of missing an unexpected moment. UHR Infrared Image improves thermal-image detail, while multiple thermal colour palettes—including White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red and Rainbow—allow operators to select the clearest display mode for each task.
Weather-Resistant Design for Professional Use
DJI Zenmuse H30T achieves an IP54 protection rating under controlled laboratory conditions, providing protection against dust and water splashes from different directions. Camera operates at temperatures from –20 to +50°C, making it suitable for cold winter conditions and hot working environments. Payload measures 170 × 145 × 165 mm, weighs approximately 920 grams and has a power consumption of 28 W.
Three-axis gimbal keeps all sensors stable during hovering and forward flight. Camera payload attaches to a drone using a detachable DJI SKYPORT interface, allowing it to be installed or replaced quickly.
