The 2x lossless zoom works surprisingly well and can also be used while tracking a subject. You can also assign different functions to one of the buttons, making operation faster and smoother.
DJI has also made more features available across different shooting modes, so there are fewer restrictions than before.
Tracking that actually works
ActiveTrack has become even more accurate on Pocket 4. The camera can track people, animals and objects very reliably, and the feature now works in more modes than before.
This is especially useful for vloggers or anyone filming alone – you can simply set the camera up and let it handle much of the work for you.
Battery and storage – small but important upgrades
One very practical upgrade is the internal storage. Pocket 4 has 107GB of built-in storage, which means you do not always need to carry an SD card with you.
Battery life has also improved, and charging is faster. Altogether, this makes the camera even more of a “grab and go” device – just take it with you and start using it without much preparation.
Is it a major upgrade?
If you already own a Pocket 3, this may not be a “must-buy immediately” upgrade. However, when you look at the whole package, the small improvements add up and make the overall experience noticeably better.
If you are looking for your first vlogging camera, however, Pocket 4 is a very easy recommendation.
