DJI Matrice 5T

is a compact professional drone for rescue operations, infrastructure inspections and mapping. A high-resolution thermal camera, three visible-light cameras and advanced obstacle sensing help capture essential information both day and night. Its foldable design makes transport and preparation for work convenient.

The thermal camera with a native resolution of 1280 × 1024 pixels helps reveal temperature differences and identify overheating equipment and other thermal anomalies. UHR mode increases thermal image resolution to 2560 × 2048 pixels. Spot and area temperature measurements, combined with thermal and visible-light image fusion, simplify inspections of electrical equipment, solar farms and buildings.

Three 50 MP cameras provide both a broad overview and detailed views of distant subjects. The wide-angle camera features a 1/0.98-inch sensor and an f/1.8 aperture for full-colour night vision. The medium telephoto camera offers 3× optical zoom, while the telephoto camera provides 11× optical zoom and up to 176× hybrid zoom. A near-infrared illuminator supports the telephoto camera’s monochrome night vision, while a laser rangefinder with a measurement range of up to 3,000 m helps determine the distance and position of objects.

LiDAR, mmWave radar and an omnidirectional vision system work together to detect obstacles. LiDAR helps identify thin obstacles such as power lines, while radar supports environmental sensing in fog, rain and dust. Vision Assist displays the surroundings on the remote controller’s screen, while built-in ADS-B and RID receivers issue alerts about nearby aircraft they detect.

Built-in ADS-B and RID receivers enable Matrice 5T to detect nearby manned and unmanned aircraft in real time and issue timely alerts. In busy airspace or during multi-drone operations, this helps pilots maintain awareness of surrounding air traffic, reduce collision risks and keep a safe distance.

Up to 59 minutes of flight time allows operators to cover a larger working area in a single flight and reduce battery changes. Maximum flight speed is 23 m/s, with wind resistance of up to 12 m/s during takeoff and landing. An IP55 rating and an operating temperature range of –20 to +50 °C allow the drone to operate in challenging outdoor conditions.

DJI Matrice 5T uses the new DJI O4 Enterprise Enhanced video transmission system, offering a transmission range of up to 20 km in CE regions in unobstructed, interference-free environments. Two built-in DJI Cellular Dongle 2 modules support cellular connectivity in areas with network coverage. The DJI RC Plus 3 Enterprise remote controller features a 7.44-inch touchscreen with up to 2,000 nits of brightness, providing a clear view even in bright daylight.

Onboard AI supports detection of more than 20 target types and automated patrol routes with DJI Matrice 5T without additional accessories. DJI Pilot 2, FlightHub 2 and DJI Terra bring together flight planning, teamwork and data processing. Capabilities include thermal mapping, on-site modelling and the use of custom software functions and AI models.

Separately sold accessories expand the drone’s capabilities. DJI AL2 SpotLight supports nighttime search and inspection work, while DJI AS2 Speaker enables announcements and live voice broadcasts. The Matrice 5 Series Charging Hub supports charging at up to 515 W and charges a battery from 10% to 95% in approximately 31 minutes in Standby mode.
