Neutral Density filters are designed to reduce the amount of light entering the camera without changing the colors. By reducing the amount of light, you can use a larger aperture, a longer shutter speed, or both. This is necessary to emphasize the subject with depth of field control or to create a movement effect. However, neutral density filters do not affect the color balance.
