FPV racing(first person view racing) usually means flying a drone through specially designed goggles. The drone racing hobby has been gaining momentum in recent years, and it has become quite common for a pilot to have a regular (slow) drone at home, as well as something more exciting from the FPV world.
There are several manufacturers of racing drones and Droon.ee has chosen BetaFPV brand for its store, whose products are of high quality, good price and often innovative, which is often highly appreciated in FPV drones.
In this article we will take a closer look at all BetaFPV drones currently sold in our store.
CETUS PRO KIT
By far the most popular beginner kit from BetaFPV, with everything you need right at your fingertips. The Cetus Pro is a step up from the standard Cetus kit, with a larger battery, brushless motors and a new controller added to the Pro model. The Cetus and Cetus Pro drones differ from the competition in their positioning and altitude holding capabilities, which help beginners get to grips with flying faster. Once you’ve got the hang of flying a drone, you can turn off all the assistive devices and fly Cetus drones like a real FPV pilot. Acro mode also allows you to do somersaults, for example.
CETUS KIT
BetaFPV Cetus is the cheapest way to get started with drone rallying. It comes with everything you need to start flying straight away, plus a few brush motors for spare. The Cetus is designed more for flying indoors, but you can also put your skills to the test outdoors if the weather is completely windless. As the brushed motors wear out and break faster than the brushless motors, the drone also comes with a spare set of new motors that are easy to replace.
METEOR75
Meteor75 is available in the so-called. PNP kit, which means that you need to purchase a 5.8Ghz analogue transmission FPV goggle (such as BetaFPV VR02) and a FrSky transceiver (such as BetaFPV LiteRadio 2). The drone is similar in flight characteristics to the Cetus Pro, but does not include positioning and altitude functions. It is a fast and tiny rally drone designed for fully manual flight.

BETA85X AND BETA95X
The Beta85X and 95X (red) are also available as PNP kits, which means that you will need to purchase 5.8Ghz analogue transmission FPV goggles (such as the BetaFPV VR02) and a remote control using the FrSky protocol (such as the BetaFPV LiteRadio 2). The Beta85X is designed to be the smallest possible whoop, with the option of a naked GoPro or Insta360 Go camera. The Beta95X is simply the bigger brother, better able to withstand wind and carry a slightly heavier camera.
Designed for filming in tight spaces, the BetaFPV 85X and 95X are ideal for flying indoors and capturing fierce shots.
TWIG XL
The TWIG XL is an ultra-lightweight and very high thrust rider. The combination of these two characteristics gives the TWIG XL a very sharp take-off when flying. Suitable for the beginner or advanced pilot with a little practice, its high speed and open propellers make it ideal for flying in forests, parks or on the runway.
The drone can be purchased as a stand-alone PNP kit or as a complete kit with batteries, charger, goggles and a remote control.
BETA95X
A small and lightweight BetaFPV drone with digital HD video, based on a DJI-developed protocol, is a great source of fun and exercise. As the video and control signal is sent digitally over the air, all drones using Caddix or DJI Air Unit modules also require goggles and a remote with a corresponding receiver – such as the DJI Goggles V2 goggles and DJI FPV Remote V1 remote. DJI’s digital system is considerably more expensive than the old-school analogue, but it also has a much sharper image and a much longer signal range. In addition, there is also the possibility to record video directly to the goggles in relatively good quality.
The Beta95X flies with 450mAh 4S batteries and can still take off with 850 mAh 4S batteries, but in this case you have to take into account that the drone feels quite heavy when flying and it is difficult to do any tricks.
PAVO30
The Pavo30 is available in either analogue or Caddix (DJI Digital) versions. The drone is powerful enough to comfortably carry an SMO 4K camera or a custom GoPro camera, with which you can also perform some simple tricks. The 850 mAh 4S battery gives you 4-6 minutes of flight time with the SMO 4K or naked GoPro, and approx. 10 minutes with the Hero 10.
Flying with a lighter camera, or without a recording camera at all, the Pavo30 is quite manageable and can also perform well acrobatically. As the drone has a fully rebuilt protective frame, it also has less damage in the event of a collision or hard landing.
