The EcoFlow DELTA Pro is a 3.6 kW portable electric charging station that can be expanded up to 25 kWh and has a standard battery capacity of 3600 Wh. What makes DELTA Pro so special is that it can be charged via EV charging stations. This allows the DELTA Pro to fully charge in around 1.7 hours. By combining all these charging methods, you can get a maximum input of 6500 W, making it very fast to fully charge. Out of the box, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro comes as an all-in-one portable power plant solution for any type of energy need or requirement. The DELTA Pro is encased in a quality manufactured housing that is strong with minimal plastic creaking when moved.
As this model is quite big and heavy, instead of the usual cushioning pads found on other EcoFlow’s, the DELTA Pro has a pair of wheels on the back, so you can wheel it around without having to lift the whole 45 kg battery off the ground. The front still has rubber cushioning pads so it can rest softly on any surface, and when it’s time to move, it comes with a lockable, telescopic, luggage-like carrying handle.

The DELTA Pro has a bright and easy-to-read screen on the front, similar to other models in the power plant portfolio. The screen provides the user with extensive details, including the number of days left until the battery is discharged, battery charge percentage, incoming and outgoing power consumption and more. There are also two other indicators showing Bluetooth and WiFi, so the DELTA Pro can be easily managed remotely from a mobile device.
The continuous runtime indicator is quite handy, as it gives you real-time feedback on how well DELTA Pro is handling connected devices and how the load is affecting the battery. The charge percentage gives a fairly accurate indication of remaining power and can be useful if you need to try to calculate how much power is being consumed in minutes or hours. Incoming and continuous power is also available to monitor usage and charging.

The DELTA Pro has only two buttons on the front of the enclosure, a large yellow button that turns the appliance on and off, and another button that controls the AC sockets.
The sides of the DELTA Pro have ventilation openings used for the heat conduction system of the battery bank. These fans are dynamically activated during high current consumption as well as during fast charging modes. The control unit’s firmware is also smart enough to quickly turn off the fans when demands decrease, allowing them to run almost silently and turn off completely at low enough loads.

Sliding the product backwards, under the cover, there is a DC input socket for car or solar charging, a charge rate selection switch, an AC input socket and a circuit breaker. Underneath the hood are two additional battery ports that allow connection to other EcoFlow ecosystem devices, providing battery capacity up to 25 kWh (25 000 Wh).

All in all, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro has plenty of connectivity and connectors. On the front, there are two USB-A fast charging slots and two standard USB-A slots. Then there are also two USB-C 100W outputs.
On the back, there is a solar panel or car charger input, an AC charging speed switch, an overload protection switch, an X-Stream AC charging input connector and two additional battery connectors. Finally, on the back of the DELTA Pro’s side cover, there is an Anderson connector, a car socket, a DC5521 output connector, a remote RJ45 connector, an IoT reset button, a pairing button, a standby switch and an “Infinity” connector.

LiFePO4 battery technology
One of the most welcome changes to the EcoFlow Delta Pro compared to smaller models is the use of newer LiFePO4 battery cells. While the smaller Delta models use NCM lithium batteries, which offer a power density advantage, they do not offer the same number of charge cycles before battery capacity is reduced.
With NCM batteries, the Delta mini offers 800 charge cycles up to 80% capacity, while the Delta Pro supports 3500 cycles up to 80% or a whopping 6500 cycles up to 50%.

Overall, the EcoFlow Delta Pro is a very versatile professional-grade portable battery bank/station. It offers a unique combination of high power output with a 3.6 kW inverter coupled with a 3.6 kWh LiFePO4 battery. Newer battery technology allows it to support thousands of charging cycles for almost continuous use, without the worry of running out of batteries.
Charging support is probably the most extensive we have seen in portable power stations so far, from the car’s low-voltage DC input to solar and AC charging to adapters for using public electric chargers. The Delta Pro fits into the realm of portable power, which is probably the largest piece of equipment you can fit on wheels before it gets too big for easy manoeuvring. Sitting in a remote lab or in the field, the Delta Pro is up to the task, offering a very nice build and without the feeling that anything could break while riding the cart. Obviously there are limitations to its durability, mainly that you can’t hold it in the elements, but it can hold up equipment in places far from traditional power sources.
