Compact, durable and lightweight design
DJI Dock 2 is significantly 75% smaller and 68% lighter than its predecessor, making it much easier to transport and install. Two people can set up the device quickly and efficiently without complex technical assistance.
Robust weatherproofing (IP55) means that Dock 2 can operate reliably in both dust and water spray conditions, allowing for outdoor use in rain, dust or other harsh weather conditions.
Automated drone loading and control
Dock 2 is designed to work autonomously – drones land and take off automatically without constant human intervention. Thanks to an intelligent charging process, the device quickly recharges the drone’s battery: from around 20% to 90% in just ~32 minutes, ensuring that missions can continue quickly.
Device also includes a backup battery that allows Dock 2 to continue operating for up to 5+ hours in the event of a power failure, ensuring stable and safe operation even during unexpected situations.
Connectivity and software management
DJI Dock 2 works seamlessly with the DJI FlightHub 2 platform to support cloud-based mission planning and monitoring. This means administrators can manage your missions, monitor real-time flight activity and analyse the data collected from anywhere, anytime.
In addition, Dock 2 is compatible with third-party cloud APIs, allowing you to create custom work solutions and integrate them with your company’s IT ecosystem.
Accuracy and security
Device includes an environmental monitoring system that uses integrated sensors to sense real-time weather conditions such as precipitation, wind speed and temperature. This allows operations to be forecast and, if necessary, flight operations to be adjusted or aborted to minimise risks.
Dock 2 also uses precise RTK antenna systems to help drones land and take off with high accuracy, even in open terrain or challenging GPS conditions.
Universal reliability and low maintenance
DJI Dock 2 is built to be low-maintenance – typically, checks and maintenance every ~6 months are sufficient to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
The device operates in a temperature range of approximately -25 °C to +45 °C, making it suitable for use in a wide range of climatic conditions.
Scope of work, drone compatibility and application areas
DJI Dock 2 works best with DJI Matrice 3D and DJI Matrice 3TD drones specifically designed for Dock 2 – whether for precision mapping, inspection or visual + thermal imaging.
Drones positioned with Dock 2 have an effective range of up to 10 km and the ability to extend missions without a constant presence.
