Weather resistance and durability
DJI Matrice 4D is IP55 rated, providing protection against dust and water splashes. This allows the drone to be used in rainy, humid and dusty environments where conventional drones may not be reliable. In professional use, this means fewer interruptions and greater reliability all year round.
Drone is capable of flying for up to 54 minutes and staying airborne in hover mode for up to 47 minutes. Longer flight time means more area covered in a single flight and a more efficient workflow – fewer landings, fewer battery changes and more productive time in the air. In addition, Matrice 4D can withstand wind gusts of up to 12 m/s, maintaining stability in open terrain and at higher altitudes.

Camera system and imaging performance
The strength of DJI Matrice 4D is its versatile and professional camera system. Drone is equipped with a 4/3-inch 20 MP wide-angle sensor, which ensures detailed and sharp image quality even in demanding lighting conditions. In addition, two 48 MP telephoto lenses are on board, allowing you to capture distant objects with high precision and without quality loss.
An integrated laser rangefinder increases measurement accuracy and helps collect spatial data for infrastructure, building and landscape analysis. An advanced stabilisation system ensures smooth, flicker-free imagery even in windy conditions or when working with longer zoom zooms. This makes Matrice 4D a reliable tool for both mapping and visual documentation.
Night work and avoiding obstacles
One of the biggest advantages of Matrice 4D is its ability to work in difficult visibility conditions. LiDAR technology and millimetre-wave radar allow the detection of wires up to 12 mm thick, often invisible to conventional sensors. This significantly reduces the risk of collisions and enhances flight safety in urban environments and in the vicinity of electrical infrastructure.
Drone has a four-sensor night vision system and a special Night Scene mode that improves visibility in low light and at night. This makes it suitable for operations where work cannot stop after dark.
DJI Dock 3 support: Matrice 4D works seamlessly with the DJI Dock 3 Autonomous Station, enabling fully automated take-off, landing and charging without human intervention.

DJI Dock 3 is IP56 rated and operates in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C. Video transmission extends up to 10 km, and up to 25 km if required, via DNS relay. It is the first Dock solution that can also be mounted on a vehicle, enabling mobile operational use.
Dock is fully integrable DJI FlightHub 2 platform for mission planning, real-time tracking and data management. Automation reduces labour costs and allows companies to manage large-scale projects more efficiently.

Main differences between DJI Matrice 4D and DJI Matrice 4TD
Matrice 4D is primarily aimed at precision mapping and visual surveillance in daytime conditions. It offers a high-resolution visual solution suitable for infrastructure inspection, construction project monitoring and industrial inspections.
DJI Matrice 4TD adds a thermal imaging camera and enhanced night operations capabilities. This makes 4TD better suited for rescue, security and safety missions where it is necessary to detect heat sources or operate in total darkness.
